Clifton Down is timeless and such a pleasure to visit to have a picnic, walk the dogs, exercise, just relax in thoughtful contemplation or look across the river and the views of the country side and the famous Brunel suspension bridge. In a world where green areas are fast disappearing, the Clifton Downs are an amazing, huge green belt right in the town. Many events are held here every year and I have been a keen visitor since 1983 .

5/ 5

Run, walk, cycle Clifton Downs you can do it all, plenty off free parking round the fields and lots of open space weather your a fitness fanatic or like to chill and have a picnic and walk the dog. Plenty of organised sports are on through out the year (probably have to be a member of those though) and during the summer months lots of events occurring too. If you like the outdoors get yourself over there and enjoy.

I love the Downs, I have been using them for years. The area is just stunning, anytime of the year, going for a long walk there, in the snow or in a summer heatwave is always a wonderful experience. The magic is that even though the Downs are very near the city centre, it feels like you are somewhere far away deep in the countryside. I understand the people who have parked their caravans and mobile homes there and are refusing to leave.

Big grassy area to fly a kite, kids ride their bikes, kick a ball around or have a family picnic. Nice views of the suspension bridge. On hot sunny days treat yourself to an ice cream cone. If its too busy, move 100 yards - there's lots of space.

Lovely stroll in the spring sunshine with friends not seen for months. Not crowded so it felt safe. Splendid views of Avon Gorge. We were lucky enough to find a parking space, not always easy on a Sunday, and not allowed on weekdays.

I will coke here again, have not been here before. Large green park with some trees. Parking lots available. If you enjoy big open fields, you will like this park also. Personally I prefer forests rather than parks.
