CLIFFORD HEALTH CLUB & SPA – Nottingham

Disappointing ☹️ Myself and my friend booked this spa day for my birthday. Not releasing at the time that you have to buy first, book later. Once eventually booking a day we could attend we received numerous emails informing us of completely different start times and treatment duration times for our package, concerning but nevertheless thought nothing of it. On the day of our visit my friend received a phone call informing us that our 4 x 90 minute treatments had been cancelled due to staff shortages but that we were still able to go and use the spa facilities. It did make us wonder if our treatments had ever actually been booked in at all. We had no choice but to go as we had arranged childcare, time off work and booked a hotel as we do not live in the area… not an easy task to arrange in itself. On arrival we politely asked to speak to the duty manager about the situation to voice our concerns over paying £130 to do nothing other than swim, use the steam rooms and foot spas. The duty manager (Tara) was very helpful and kind although did state there was absolutely no chance of getting any money back but offered us another day there. Our afternoon tea had been cancelled or again not booked in when we arrived at the time we were told to although the lovely lady in there did accommodate us. It wasn’t great though. All in all not a birthday treat I will have fond memories of and even with the offer of a free day there I unfortunately don’t think I’ll be returning.

Excellent customer service. Everywhere very clean, plenty of steam/sauna options. Not overcrowded. Treatment (massage by Maria) was excellent and probably the best in the area. Lovely staff in Waterfalls. Afternoon tea was good enough as not expecting the Ritz. It was fresh and tasty. All in all, exceeded expectations and excellent value for money. Booked another day on exit. Was well prepared by email prior to visit explaining car parking and what to expect in the day. Received a call the day before to confirm details.

Just got home from an amazing day. Staff were professional, polite and knowledgeable. Immaculately clean. In fact constantly cleaning and checking water in pool, jacuzzi and hydro pool. Used everything bar the ice bucket. Afternoon tea was delicious. Treatments were very relaxing. Will definitely come back again and would recommend to anyone. The facade of the building and its location deceives you to what you see inside. Absolutely stunning. Quite fancy the heated tiled lounger on my patio!! Well done Clifford Spa. Brilliant day with my daughter in law.

Absolutely loved the spa here. So many spa thermal rooms, numerous foot baths, huge jacuzzi and pool. The treatments are excellent and therapists friendly, professional and through. We had an afternoon tea and all the ingredients were fresh. The cafe does have stairs so would have to request a accessible table if you are disabled. From the outside the building is nothing to look at but once inside the spa you forget you are on a side road in the town. We have rebooked to go again and can't wait.

Absolutely fabulous. I am a gym member and used the pool almost every day since I joined, excepting lock down. The pool is wonderful, clean and usually not that busy. The hot tubs are amazing and huge. The community of regulars is wonderful, so many nice people and the staff are fantastic. Massages are fabulous and the masseuses are brilliant and friendly. Couldn't recommend it more.
