On the 27th of August, I spent £60 in the Uxbridge Clarks shop as I bought school shoes for my daughter and that is what I do every year for my children. I bought the school shoes, plimsolls, which are called Hopper go Black fabric and shoe labels.
The day my daughter meant to go with the plimsolls, as she tried them. They did not fit. So I went to the shop and saw the manager and she said “Just bring them and will exchange them for you”. On the 8th of September, I exchanged them. By then, my daughter had already changed her mind about wearing them.
On the 10th of September, I went to the shop to return them. I took the receipt, which shows I spent the money but I did not have the receipt, which I exchanged the shoes with.
When I asked for the refund, the manager offered me the money in a gift card. I told her that I do not want that option. She asked me to go to the bank and obtain the statement which I paid for. I asked, how would that show the day I exchanged the shoes in the bank statement, she said” we will give you your money back in your bank card if you do”. As soon as I came back to the shop with the bank statement. She made sure to look through my bank statement and then she said “I can only offer you the gift card”.
I do not understand the way she dealt with me. She has wasted my time and energy to go to the bank and back just for her mood. Then she refuses to do what she has promised . It made me feel terrible spending money with such people.
Thank you so much for hiring such a dreadful manager. You have just lost a customer who lived in Uxbridge for over 17years and Clarks shoe shop was the first to go and buy shoes, not any more though.
I would urge people to think once or twice but three times before spending a penny in Uxbridge Clarks shop.
