I have used the Clarendon House Business Centre for 11 years and time and time again the service has proved invaluable to the two business that I have operated from there. The receptionists are efficient and friendly, and although it’s easy to wonder if I’ve had special treatment from them, I’ve also shared positive stories with the other ‘residents’ and appreciate what an excellent service they give. I think the term ‘resident’ is apt, because we’re really made to feel at home here and its got almost a club atmosphere. The offices are well appointed albeit cosy, and there’s plenty of chat and occasional social events for those who want some interaction. That said, some of our neighbours can be noisy - I’m referring to the buskers in the precinct below, as other reviewers have mentioned. My business operates in the life-sciences regulatory sector and the prestigious location of the office is perfect for my clients many of whom come from abroad, and it’s why I’m not bothered by the occasional loud busker outside. That’s all part of city life and colour anyway. The central location makes it convenient and easy to find, whether people are coming from within Oxford or from the railway station which is less than 10 minutes away by foot. Apart from having a team of great receptionists, a permanently staffed delivery address (I’m an amazon junkie) and a place which I can combine with other services found in Oxford town centre, the one other reason for being there is the difference having a serviced office makes to my business. Everyone I’ve talked to who has taken the plunge is glad that they did. I did it more than ten years ago, when I realised that operating from home meant that I was losing my edge, and its helped me go from strength to strength. Clarendon were actually very gracious to me, even when I’ve been quite demanding and I sense that they take pride in their involvement in providing facilities to businesses, and they seem to genuinely hope that their resident businesses succeed. I therefore have no hesitation in repaying their goodwill by taking the time to write this detailed recommendation of them.
