We got married at Leeds Civic Hall and it was an amazing venue. The space speaks for itself, but what made it extra special was the professionalism of the staff. Communications throughout the planning process were excellent. We visited the venue several times and the porters who showed us round were very helpful. On the day itself, the staff were so friendly and efficient. With particular thanks to Emma who really helped to make everything go so smoothly.

There are changes taking place in the area August 2019 onwards , mainly along the Headrow and part of Cookridge street by Raddison hotel . So please check before you travel . I was at the Civic hall and as I had a blue badge I entered the civic hall car park from Portland way . There are barriers and an intercom plus the access is controlled to the car park . Having gained access there are three disabled notified bays . All have dropped kerbs plus space to manoeuvre a wheelchair .A blue badge MUST be shown and remain visible whilst in this car park . Access to the building is via Portland crescent . Entrance flanked by two wise owls and a large clock above ! Having booked in with security I went to my meeting . All floors are flat and level including lift access . Most doors are pad operated and will open as you operate the pad .This includes access to the disabled WC except bizarrely! for the wc door itself ! Barriers will raise automatically as you leave the car park .There is further parking nearby . An enjoyable stress free experience.

Lots of history. 2 recent events, a conference and a Leeds council event. Both events were well organised by the backroom staff and the catering was good; varied & enjoyed by all. As a venue to host events, it's different to the usual corporate venue, having lots of history and being an impressive building.
