Super super rude staff in the registrar office. Very busy line. Called all afternoon and got a response "It's your problem. Not mine. Go to your country." What was that?!

The City Chambers was erected off the Royal Mile, quite deep in a recess and hard to notice from the main road. A quadrangle with a stone War Memorial and a bronze statue of Alexander The Great taming his horse Bucephalus precedes the edifice.

Once an official building now opened to public due to what lies beneath the City Chambers on the Royal Mile. It is deepest Edinburgh's secret - a warren of hidden streets where real people lived, worked and died between the 17th and the 19th centuries. It used to be closed to public due to belonging to being under official building and therefore off limits but now it is open to public! and what a fantastic tour it is. I think it was my highlight in Scotland. These underground closes and witness some of the dramatic episodes and extraordinary apparitions from this site's fascinating and historically rich past. Mary King's Close -Buried deep beneath Edinburgh's Royal Mile lies the city's deepest secret warren of hidden streets that has remained frozen in time since the 17th century.
