The few times I've picked up packages here, the service has been competent and friendly, but I find this place rather useless for most of my postal needs. It opens after I have to be at work and closes before I can get back here, so except on Saturdays, this place might as well not exist.

Always awful service. Used to have the rudest man on the tills but at least he was good at his job. Went in today and they had two ladies at the post office till. One was obviously supposed to be training the other but was not helping her at all. She kept stopping to eat her food! She assumed the lady in training was able to do the transaction and left her to serve other people. Took twice as long to complete my transaction then. Felt sorry for the new girl. How is she supposed to learn if she isn’t being helped. The shop is always a mess!

This is now under new management and they are lovely! So helpful and really gave the impression that they want to be a part of the community rather than just another quick shop. Just generally really friendly and welcoming.

Happy to see friendly new owner here today, a real breath of fresh air! I used to avoid using the PO here as I always felt as though I was imposing - I think it's going to change a lot under new management. There are plans to restock the shop and sell Co-op products, which would be really handy. Do go back if you've been put off in the past!

The man who helped me tried to charge me the costs of a small parcel when in fact, the item was easily thin enough to be a large envelope. The price difference is significant, so I would recommend to insist on them using their letterbox cutout shape to see whether your items are in fact a (large) letter.

Absolutely useless. Parcel from Parcelforce left at post-office, went to go and get it and the bloke wouldn't even get off his chair to look, told me they hadn't been and would drop it off at the post office in the morning, checked the tracking number when I got home to find it was left there over an hour before! Not a happy customer.

most recently; a lost parcel despite being insured and tracked, and unable to claim compensation because the 'post master' at CB4 didn't know what barcode to scan. no receipt given, no recourse with RM apparently. we used to use the Chesterton post office every day for our business mail. they constantly make mistakes, or are unable to perform the tasks we require. badly trained staff. better to go further afield...

Probably the worst post office I've been to, every time I go there are issues. I went to return an item and the company provided me with a QR code for the post office to scan. The lady working repeatedly told me that the code didn't work and then told me to try a difference post office? Low and behold I went to a different one and the Qr code worked first time with now issues. I don't know how it works in one place but not another

Don't waste your time except for basic postal needs. Absolutely awful, lack basic training to run a post office. We were advised to go to another post office for help because they were new and didn't know what they're doing. What's the point of having a local post office, if the local post office tells you to go to a non-local post office!
