GP's professionalism and bedside manner are second to none. But I fail to I understand how an appointment driven profession refuses to allow appointments unless you phone on the day. In which case they're generally engaged until all appointments are booked! The words health and lottery spring to mind... Now, where have I heard that before?

Avoid if you can. Theoretically, you can only get appointments on the day by calling at 8:00am spot

Avoid if you can. Theoretically, you can only get appointments on the day by calling at 8:00am spot on, and then you still be waiting around an hour, that if you will be lucky to get through on the telephone - because it just is not connecting and drops or you are holding for ages. But keep dialing again and again like in casino maybe today you will be lucky. At 8:20, once connected, "all our appointments are booked for today"... Looool... Why is it even reccomended for students? We do not wake up at 8 am, so I need to set up alarm to go through this joke first thing in the morning. I give up and don't call in the morning. So eventually I didn't go to sleep all night to make this call and still was experiencing anxiety of being not "approved" by this "natural selection" of pure luck. Practically, you end up procrastinating sorting your health because you can't book an appointment, perhaps avoiding the call knowing in advance the frustration of this system.

I don’t wanna give any star to this surgery all doctors and staff don’t know what they are doing as a patient we have to tell them what to do and waiting for very long for any medication. Don’t trust if doctor say to any patient I will do it in future time that future time never come. Please go to any other surgery and join it but no castle medical surgery.

I've managed to get through and get a call back that morning from the Doctor. Helpful, empathetic and efficient staff. I was impressed, the prescriptions are sent straight to the pharmacy and sick notes are emailed to save you collecting it from the practice. They are trying their best.

What a shame. Really. I held off on making any remarks about this practice, as I didn't want to be influenced by the numerous negative reviews (many stemming from poor attitude of staff). The doctor I spoke to was really kind but when I tried to get my blood results, I found it highly inefficient, as I had to keep chasing it via the online portal and via the phone. After many attempts I finally got it sent later via the post. Also the abnormal result was not addressed and as per receptionist I should know better to contact the surgery and what was I doing waiting so long. The receptionist should also understand the profession she works in, and maintain some respect and professional attitude, rather than spew pointless remarks about matters she has no clue about. It is a shame really especially considering the dismissive attitude and impolite questioning, compared to the Doctor I had seen earlier this year. Moreover, having worked as a doctor in a GP practice myself, it is common practice to review the results and inform the patient or arrange a follow up appointment/ treatment as they have to be screened by a doctor thereafter. I understand the NHS is overworked and covid has made it even more difficult, but to be devoid of empathy and blame the patients for such difficulties is rather bizarre and unprofessional.

It is the worst medical center I have ever had in my life. I come from France and I find that the organization at the medical level in England is very bad. To have a date, you have to fight. He lets you die, they have no mercy.
