Great day out. Cartwright Hall has lovely family friendly exhibitions with lots of little hidden details to appeal to children. It is set in Lister Park which has a lakeside cafe serving tasty lunches, a well equipped play area and a beautiful botanical garden. Lots to explore.

A beautiful step back in to the past. Aswell as the paintings that are always there, there is also usually an exhibition on, Peter Rabbit at present. We'll worth a visit.

This was a grand gallery to visit, displaying many glorious pieces of artwork across numerous rooms. The range of the work was refreshing too, spanning from centuries ago to the modern day period. I was interested in seeing the artifacts that are also showcased, helping give a better understanding of life back in eras long gone! The accompanying garden is a highly pleasant addition, having large stretches of grass and spurting fountains. I had my lunch in the garden, sitting down comfortably on one of the benches overlooking the fountains.

Set in beautiful grounds and with a range of art on exhibit, this is a great place to relax and take in a bit of art. Admission is free and the only requirement during the current pandemic is for you to wear a mask. The building itself has a range of artworks, from current to some over 500 years old. Current highlights in June 2021 include an excellent David Hockney exhibiton, and an absorbing one focusing on 70s and 80s youth subculture in Bradford. The Victorian building is grand, sumptuous, and just the right size so as not to be too overwhelming. On a practical note, there are toilets too!
