Amazing staff, but the decor is super dated. Not the best hotel I’ve been too, at all. However it’s super central and right next to the train station so a great location if you have to travel in the morning.

We love our Christmas shopping trips to Glasgow, this hotel is perfectly located just steps away from Queen St railway station, George Square and Buchanan Street. Hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, we’ve stayed in three of the room types available, never had a complaint yet. We always book to include breakfast and enjoy our leisurely start (and ends!) to each day. Hope to visit again soon!

Fantastic stay. Traveled around the world and this is up there with one of the best I've visited. Marc and Sam were brilliant and very welcoming with answering any inquiries. Lounge with the drinks and snacks was a perfect added touch. We will be back to this place for a visit. Comfy bed and clean.. Thank you.

5/ 5

This was an early Christmas shopping trip. The Carlton George Glasgow was amazing. From the moment I booked the overnight stay until check out just before noon the next day everything was perfect. Communication from the hotel was great, from emails informing me of the hotel’s protocols, details on parking arrangements with close by car parks, to arranging bookings for dinner or breakfast, it was all very easy and convenient to do. I booked a Sunday overnight package and it was great value for money, dinner and breakfast were included and the free minibar in the room was a welcome touch. The room was classed as standard but was superior to what I would’ve expected, it was a lovely big room with a comfortable bed and nice armchair with a desk and high back chair too. No view but after shopping all day it was dark when we arrived back at the hotel and we closed the curtains so this wasn’t an issue or important to us. The food was really good as was the service, nice and friendly and not hurried, the breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. The location of the hotel is great, round the corner from Queen Street Station or a 10 minute walk from Buchanan Galleries, where we parked the car overnight. Everything and everyone in this hotel was spot on and I would not hesitate to give it 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
