I visited the back shop several times, having different requests. Staff was always friendly and helpful and even if they didn't have what I needed, they recommended several alternatives. It's a nice atmosphere there, everybody seems happy and enjoy what they are doing, and know everything about what they have in the shop (except for a young lad, but I'm confident he will learn a lot, as he is on good hands!) I definitely recommend this place!

Popped in on an off chance looking for a drill bit. Staff were very helpful, and found the perfect one; dispute my vague idea on what I actually needed. (Wanted something to get through terracotta pots and tiles - of various thickness).

An Aladdin's cave of interesting and useful items for the home, with a builders yard the back of the main shop, everything is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and helpful.

My mother ordered a mount for a frame, when she came to pick it up she couldn't go up the stairs as she is disabled so asked the staff downstairs if they would kindly go up and get it for her they refused saying they can't, she asked twice and they still refused so she will not be coming to that shop ever again, awful customer service

Wonderful service - needed an odd sized piece of wood for a bed slat. They cut it to fit for me and only charged £1! You wouldn’t get that service in a big chain store! Great part of our treasured high street!
