The accomodation is not only far out from the university with a bus running just once an hour on weekdays, in the building I lived in (Coachmans) we reguarly lost hot water throughout the year, it was never properly repaired and complaints about it were dismissed, and students rarely felt heard, and were often blamed for issues like this. Fire trained security staff were also not on site 24/7 as suggested, so when we had a fire alarm we often had to wait 20+ minutes for someone to turn up to turn it off, regardless of the weather or time of day. Other buildings have also lost hot water reguarly.
