Fantastic little bar in Edinburgh. Very friendly and had my favourite beer on when we went. Titanic Plum Porter! . Great atmosphere live music and laughter. Bought a CD of some of the music they have had and will definitely return to buy another. Might even emmigrate from Essex to Edinburgh just to do so..

Had the most amazing night here during my trip to Edinburgh this weekend. I felt so welcomed into this little tight knit community and never felt out of place. All the musicians were incredible people and so talented-could have stayed there all night!

The best of Edinburgh hospitality for locals and visitors. The captains has loads of folk sessions on - folk singers, traditional tunes, americana.. something every day (afternoons and evenings it seems). Anyone is welcome to pick up an instrument and join in. Bar staff are very accommodating and super friendly.

Wonderful bar, always loved the atmosphere. Staff very helpful and vigilant about covid restrictions.
