Gas Hob Installed Incorrectly & Left Unsafe. Capital Repairs came and installed my gas hob. All was fine till I looked underneath and saw they engineer had not secured the hob to the worktop properly. The hob was also not straight with the worktop. After months of emails and phone calls a engineer finally came out from Capital Repairs to finish the job. He was not Gas Safety so he had to call another company to send out a Gas Safety Engineer to come and test the pipe work. The Gas Safety Engineer condemned all Capital Repairs pipework and replaced it. He also said there was a chance it might have been leaking gas for months. I asked for the full report, that had been sent to Capital Repair but the have still not sent it. Capital Repairs have awful customer service and their work is unsafe.

I am impressed. This was the only company in London that would install an American fridge-freezer in my first floor apartment (up a flight of difficult stairs). They came on time and installed on time. There was a slight problem with the fridge that was promptly fixed the next day. This is a very responsive and competent organisation, from the sales person through to the installers. I can thoroughly recommend Capital Repairs. I know where I am buying my next appliance.

Had an emergency with our washing machine. Capital repairs got an engineer out to us the next morning and after describing the problem they had several parts in the van ready. One of these fixed the machine and they got it working again within 20 minutes. Very pleased

I'm not sure where the five star reviews come from, this is easily the worst company I have ever used. It took over two weeks for an engineer to come out to fix a fridge (which stopped working again the next day). The reception staff are incredibly rude, don't give any updates on the job, interrupt you while you are speaking, the list goes on. Do yourself a favour, save your time and money and look elsewhere.

I received a First class service from this Company. The process from start to finish was An Excellent Customer Service. When you booked the appointment the person who booked explained the process and when Jason came to assess and fit the part which was ordered and received and my oven was foxed all within a week Jason was very polite and professional and explained what the problem with oven was and showed me the part that was causing the issue. Highly recommend this company for its Excellent Customer Service.

Needed my Rangemaster cooker checked and repaired for suspected gas leaks. Capital Repairs and their employees are a credit to the industry. Best service in my long experience. Brilliant, enthusiastic call centre staff. They answered every one of my calls within 2 rings - absolutely unheard of in modern call centre days. Experienced and friendly engineer. Explained diagnoses and showed there was no need for expensive parts replacement. Replaced old cooker hose as part of visit. Clearly demonstrated there were no gas leaks with pressure testing equipment. I admire their honesty. Thanks for a great job.

COWBOY OPERATION! I am totally in shock with this company! I paid £132 for a call out fee to repair our smeg oven. I was shocked by the high price but was desperate so proceeded with the job. The engineer arrived (very nice man. This is not a negative review on him but the company) and it took him the press of a button to reset the oven! Much as I was annoyed with myself that it was such a simple fix yet I had paid this extortionate price, I had agreed the call out price and didn’t quibble at the price. He then went on to look at my various other appliances to offer advice to ensure longevity of life. Lots of helpful tips and tricks. He then went onto look at my oven hob. It transpired that was faulty without my knowledge. He said he can return to repair but to get the price of the part o needed to pay for the future job, I naively agreed thinking that the part would be reasonable. I received the quote for the part which was very high I decided not to proceed with the job seeing as I didn’t even notice there was a problem to start with. I asked for a refund for the work that was not going no happen. However I was told that this was in fact a call out fee and so I had had the work done..I.e the diagnosis. Of a fault I didn’t not know existed. I feel like the wool was pulled over my eyes and I was intentionally led down a path of misunderstanding. Be weary of these people. I ended up paying £250 for essentially noting! Use an independent engineer as these guys are paid pittance for the work, regardless of length of time it takes to complete a job! Apparently the surplus £235 is for ‘admin’… Avoid at all costs.
