Highly recommend Daria's classes. Today's sun salutations and moon salutations 75 minute class was pure joy. Daria guides the students through the asanas with such flow and clear cues. Lookign forward to going back next Tuesday to her class!

Mixed feelings. Some excellent teachers, particularly the Barre classes, but given this is primarily meant to be a yoga studio, I would expect much better yoga tuition. I understand it must be difficult to keep a central location commercially viable and it's great that there are such a variety of classes at different times of day, but sadly there are many shortcomings. The rooms are poorly ventilated and the downstairs studio for the Barre classes desperately needs proper air conditioning as it is insufferable, even on mild days. Students are crammed in like sardines, so much so that you can't fulfill all the yoga postures given as there isn't enough room. The description of "yoga" should not be used to describe the vast amount of classes taught. Yoga is so much more than just stretching and moving the body. There should be connection with self, a stilling of the mind, a sense of peace. How can this be obtained when classes are taught with pop music playing or pseudo spiritual texts being dictated, or personal / political beliefs being aired, or just relentless talking throughout? Have any of these instructors been to India or an ashram so they have an understanding of true yoga and what it could and should bring? Please please please do not let true yoga be wiped out by souless western stretch classes. One class this week had a stand in male teacher who was instructing yoga more like ballet than traditional asanas. Flourishing the body like a peacock, rather than a conscientious teacher. You could hardly hear his instructions over the lyrics of Lauren Hill being played! He even had music playing throughout savasana. How on earth is this yoga? How can one obtain peace of mind? Worryingly he said he taught the teacher training... what lineage is being created here? Is anyone giving any constructive feedback to these instructors so they don't drift too far off the mark. I have not provided my real name but attend regularly and am disappointed by what I am experiencing. I think the studio could be so much better but the teachers need some honest feedback so they can self-improve and uphold the beautiful legacy of yoga.

I guess I will need to continue visiting this studio in the future for the lack of anything better in central Cambridge (80 per month). However, I wish they could be more like Triyoga in London (100 per month) or Tribe Yoga in Edinburgh (95 per month) which are in a similar pricing range but offer so much more such as infrared heating panels for the hot yoga classes which ensure that you can breathe during class while achieving the proper temperature. I wish Camyoga could invest in this essential more than anything - this will make the experiene of hot yoga so much better. I wonder if they should actually be allowed to carry out hot yoga classes when they heat up the studio with the heaters which are currently in place, unfortunately there is no regulation in place yet. I would also recommend diversifying their teacher body and creating a more innovative practice - perhaps send their teachers for further training which will allow them to provide a more interesting practice. I think that Camyoga should not allow the lack of competition within Cambridge to stop them from innovating and investing in the studio. I saw that another reviewer here had a similar impression - if Camyoga wants to charge the prices they do, they should really consider giving more in return.

My friend is a regular here and she persuaded come to come along and try a class. I am so glad she did i felt a lot better after some gentle and not so gentle stretches. There seems to be lots of different classes here so whatever your level i think you will find one that is right. I am certainly looking to start regularly

I've always been athletic and found yoga when I started college. It's been several years and I've studied yoga in many environments and in many countries. During the past year as PhD student, I've been a member of Camyoga Central and have honestly loved everything about this place: the variety of classes offered (including trying Barre!), the cleanliness and beauty of the studio, the teachers who believe and love what they teach, the atmosphere of other yogis, the wonderful cafe offering food bursting with nutrients. I believe yoga is what you make it for you. To me, yoga is exercise, peace, a lesson which allows you to proceed each day maybe a little more less stressfully. At Camyoga, I regain a sense of calmness, friendship, and home within myself. With the variety of athletic more powerful classes offered, yoga at Camyoga has furthered my fitness and body-sense. I used to be more of a gym fanatic but, done sensibly, yoga can be an almost sufficient workout. Also in the cold temperatures, there's is less of a feel of my body. Yoga brings a healthy awareness. Additionally, the yoga and most importantly the vibe from the studio, teachers, and fellow yogis provides a gentle reminder that your health is very important. My one criticism, however, is the changing rooms need to be larger and there should be showers. But, I do believe these works may be in progress...
