Always a joy to stroll in the botanical garden. The garden is well maintained. I spent overall 3 hrs, including checking out the greenhouses but could have likely spend even more time, just enjoying a bit of quietness from the city and being charmed by the smell of the flowers

Is there a lovely set of gardens said on the edge of the city. Variety of planting to see from small flowers two large trees. There's a focus on the history of plants and many references to Charles Darwin. There isn't nice cafe that serves good quality food, in the form of light lunches mainly. The gardens are well worth visiting if you're in Cambridge.

Lovely old botanical garden. Tropical hot house well worth a visit, Surprisingly had trees including fruits from around the world along with many plants. Good variety. A bit in need of care in some spots around the garden but overall well worth a visit.

Great hideaway in Cambridge away from the congestion of Cambridge town centre and Hills Road. Lovely walk and gardens with things to do with Children as well. Good cafe with plenty of choice and seating, plus in the summer months there's a less used snack area with a hut selling sandwiches etc. with even more seating tucked just beyond the main cafe.

This is one of the most fantastic places for families with children. All the garden is just Great, with so many beautiful places that are hidden on the way. Every time we go there we can see different species, different flowers. My family love this place ❤

Beautiful place to spend a couple of hours. There was a good range of plants and flowers which were all well signed. We went in early spring so unfortunately missed a lot of the flowering but there was still plenty to see. Imagine it must be incredibly beautiful when everything is in bloom! There were some nice areas which were more interactive, perfect for children to explore. Only downsides are that it's reasonably pricey to enter if not a Cambridge student or friend of the garden (£6.90 per adult as of spring 2021) and there isn't a great deal of parking available. That being said, I would recommend a visit if you're in Cambridge and a fan of gardens.

A fun visit with kids. Well labelled, albeit mostly in Latin. Look out though for the Coca-Cola plant in the dry climate garden, pretty sure that's not Latin. Stepping stones across water features, gratuitous bridges across nothing in particular, paths through the trees, and the chance to get up close and personal with some of the natural plant world all adds up to an inspiring experience.

Always really enjoy the glasshouses with fantastic range of plants, this time the passion flowers were amazing. Also the timeline border with plants in the sequence thy were introduced to the UK which is usually surprising when you look at the dates. Together with the bog garden and the dry garden it makes a great visit. You can re-enter the garden on a day ticket so we went through on the way to the Fitzwilliam Museum and again on the way back to get the most out of the day.
