I'm currently an inpatient in one of the units here, I would give it five stats but it's just too well used a place, the staff try to work miracles with almost no support from the NHS, the patients are rightly cranky and frustrated and unfortunately they take it out on the staff making it almost impossible for the staff to do their jobs properly I give it 3 stars purely for the staff without them I feel the place should be shut down

In the last year I have been having (mostly) phone consultations with Dr Adrian Hayes for psychodynamic psychotherapy and have found it invaluable. I was a recluse for 15 years but have recently been to 3 face - face meetings and started going out again generally. Although sceptical at first, I have benefited enormously. Unfortunately there’s a 12 month limit on our contact and I worry about follow-on treatment and the risk of regression. M.Burke

2/ 5

In dire need of funding. Stayed as an inpatient. Nurse and doctors were solid and organized and responsive. But the HCAs were mostly disinterested and the amenities were as standard as they come, with unfortunately most lights being out, tvs not working for weeks on end, and terrible food. I pity patients in the winter given the terribly thin blankets and absence of any ventilation/heating to the rooms themselves. On the other hand the OT staff and services were great. Super friendly, super proactive. But unfortunately severely limited in amount - like two hours twice a week or the gym just an hour a day. It was helpful to recovery to have access to their services, and felt most supported by them (as therapy and social work were totally non-existent). But while the facilities were clean, everything else is clearly being stretched.
