Good Experience Overall Overall we had a good experience purchasing our car from Calder Motor Company. Tony was very helpful and easy to deal with. We are very happy with our car and it drives well. I have knocked off a star only because after we picked the car up we found it hadn't been properly valeted/cleaned inside.

Great customer service! My experience with Calder Motor was great! I have previously used well known dealers and didn’t feel like I get what I need. Although it’s a small dealer, the choice of models is huge. I went for 13 plate Touareg in great condition throughout. It was exactly what I needed. I even traded in my previous car. Tony made the whole process really easy and pleasent. The car was prepared to the highest standards (they even put new brakes , which is important with such a big car). I would recommend Calder Motors to anyone looking for a nice, top shelf car and great customer service.

The WORST car dealership. I would highly recommend buying elsewhere or at least be prepared to deal with clueless staff with bullish and threatening behaviour. Check the MOT history directly online with the DVLA and confirm service history externally.

Very helpful staff, explained what they do and prices. Very cost effective if you don't want to pay for a brand new van. Concept of taking a second hand van and completely refitting makes owing a van very attractive.

I have found the company to be very slow to respond, that is when they do. They seem to be more interested in selling camper vans than looking after those who have purchased one from them and looking for some sort of advice and after care.

1/ 5

Had been through looking to purchase a camper conversion. I informed Stuart that I was still looking elsewhere so was not ready to commit. I then found a private sale of a calder campers conversion. It had only been converted and purchased about 7 weeks earlier and was almost identical to the one calder had in stock. The seller informed me that there was a 3 year warranty with the van from calder. On checking the website calder are very proud of their warranty stating it is "The best warranty in the business" Unfortunately Calder have now informed me that the warranty is non transferable. I am disappointed with this and when I contacted Calder I found their attitude quite dismissive. I pointed out that maybe if they put on the warranty that it was non transferable it would help future purchasers from thinking they were covered (like I did). For some reason this seemed to offend them, stating "why should we" and then slagging of the gentleman I purchased the vehicle from. Considering I had already informed Stuart that I would use them for servicing and habitation checks I was surprised with their attitude and lack of cooperation. If they had offered to honour the warranty for a fee that is something I would have considered but it obviously wasn't and option.
