Not as child friendly as it might appear! I booked a room for my wife as a birthday present. We were unable to find a baby sitter for the weekend so decided to bring my 17 month old daughter. We were excited to see the way the hotel described its family offer on the website. However, when we rang the hotel we were informed children had to stay in a separate building away from the main house and they wouldn't allow a toddler in our room. As such we had no choice but to find another hotel who were more accommodating to families and children.

Fabulous location. We've had several meals here both in the Gumstool and the Conservatory. Superb food and the staff are excellent. Even the booking experience over the phone is great and friendly. Not cheap but you get what you pay for and we've never been disappointed. Try it and enjoy it yourselves.

Booked in for afternoon tea at Calcot and was really impressed with, well, everything. Such a beautiful setting, everything, exteriors and interiors alike, is immaculate and beautifully presented and the staff were all so friendly relaxed and helpful. The afternoon tea itself was one of the best we've had. The spa and grounds looked amazing too, definitely on the list for the next time we're in the area!
