The absolute worst GP I have ever been to. Reception staff are rude and act like everything is too much effort for them. I only had one appointment there, they didn’t give me a real appointment time just asked me to come in at midday, didn’t get seen until 1pm. Also, I’ve now registered with a new GP (three weeks ago!!!) and my files STILL haven’t been sent to them so I can’t get my medication! This place is awful, I can’t believe the uni isn’t addressing how terrible it’s own service is.

Never took me seriously about my back pain. Was told to take pain killers until it went away. It didn’t go away for 2 months after going elsewhere to see a doctor. Explained I hadn’t been to a doctor for anything for 7 years and had a few things I wanted seen to but instead said we have time for only 2 things. One regarding my acne/Dermatillomania where she said it wasn’t bad (mind you I was wearing a lot of makeup) and it’s simply normal. She made me feel really stupid. Honestly, the worse experience with a gp I’ve ever had. Never went back after that.

USELESS IDIOTS I messed up my back picking up a guitar amp. I could hardly walk, was in constant pain. was told to take pain killers and to return in a week if it doesnt get better, After a week it didnt, so i returned. I was essentially told "oh well jim lad you're screwed for life, sorry". I asked "should i get an x-ray or see a chiropractor?" i was told flat out no it wont help your screwed for life. At 18years of age this was a very depressing blow, i thought my life as a normal person was over. so i go to an independant local chiropractor (against doctors orders)........they actually inspected my back....then within the hour and with a few pops and clicks, I WAS FIXED!!!! no pills, no BS GPs are like a swiss army knife......they can do a lot of things....all of them, not very well at all.

The staff are always very helpful and have gone above and beyond to find me appointments when they are fully booked. The few times I have been I have found the doctors to be attentive and understanding.

The most useless medical care service I have ever experienced. I am an Oxford Brookes student who has been denied medical consultation of any kind, both phone and by appointment, just because I do not possess a UK telephone number. You wonder why hospitals are experiencing such great stress? Think again..

What a shame. Lovely GP’s being represented by such awful receptionists. For some reason, they tend to operate under the belief that it is them that will be treating patients instead of the doctors and therefore every phone call and interaction is some sort of painful and strenuous task. I fear that perhaps one or two of the receptionists may have chosen the wrong career pathway and would be better suited to a career that does not involve providing assistance and communicating with those needing medical care - maybe a job in the prison system would be better suited. Obviously not all of the receptionists are like this and we’ve had experience with some lovely people that work here. In fact, I feel bad for them, knowing that they must interact with such miserable colleagues on a daily basis. Something needs to be done :)
