Bristol Reclamation always has some really interesting pieces of furniture, restored and unrestored. Pieces seem to sell quite quickly so there's always new stock. Great place to browse as there's never any pressure from the staff. The only problem is parking.

I was a bit upset because I love these types of places and I turned up and there were two men having a conversation out the front, they glanced at me but did not say hello. I awkwardly said, "Hi" and got no response then said "um.. do either of you work here?" One man said yes rather sourly so I asked after a really really beaten up pair of side tables with drawers, thinking I could upcycle them. The man said they cost £140 and then went right back to talking with his friend. Then I just left because A. That's ridiculously expensive and B. Its just rude the way I was treated so I wont be going back there.

Bought a beautiful large chest of drawers, which had been painted blue. Very pleased with how sturdy and stylish it is. Some reviewers have commented on the more expensive price point. In my view, it's well worth paying a little more for the unique pieces that Reclamation are able to source and the work that goes into lovingly restoring them.
