I spent a few days on CCU waiting for an operation. The staff were wonderful and did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The only problem I had was lack of sleep because it is a very busy ward. I was then moved to C705 and again the care was excellent. I also had the luxury of my own room!

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble of enthusiasm for BHI. My husband's op for ablation has been postponed 4 times. He has been told now that the surgeon needs to have a clinical conversation with his consultant. Really? After all this time? Have they any idea how stressful this is when we all know that stress is a contributary factor in heart health. We are left waiting in limbo yet again. It's not good. I feel sorry for the admin staff who have to relay the bad news and no consultant had the courtesy to speak to us and explain what is happening. Very disappointing.

Was admitted into the BHI on 30/11/21 following a heart attack. After a number of tests including an Angiogram I was required to have a heart by-pass graft, very scary! I should have not been worried at all as the treatment I received throughout my stay was exemplary. My thanks go to all concerned and particularly to the surgical team under professor Angelini, the nurses and doctors in wards C708,CITU and CHDU for looking after me so well and giving me a second chance in life,I am truly grateful. Food was very good as well!!
