First of all the photos on Booking.com do not match with the existing room. Moist and cold facilities. Dirty swimming pool and moldy steam room. Smelly carpet. Read this review before planing your vacation. And there is no refund, discount for the issue. Only a "sorry letter". If you are looking for a Spa experience then you need to know that spa is very small, stinky, dirty, partly broken. The steam room is dark, there is no shower inside and it stinks like a moldy cloth. The sauna is 60C and dirty. The only shower is defective because it has low pressure and a lukewarm non-adjustible water temperature. The main pool is very smalland dirty, the water smells strange, not fresh at all. The jacuzzi is big but dirty. The sittingarea is dirty and it looks like the pillows have not been washed for ages. The tiles are partlybroken. Overall the location gives the impression that it was done by an unprofessional constructionworker. The bar and restaurant are small, ugly design and lights, not cozy at all, even for a cocktail. Literary better to go somewhere else as to stay there. The building from the outside looks like an antique museum, but inside it’s almost destroyedby moisture. It’s very cold inside. It looks like vintage style, but actually, some things are justfalling apart. We stayed in the room with loud ventilation, old portable radiator, there were no designs just grey walls and a window with a horrible view. I hope Harbour Hotel has better locations inthe UK but the Bristol one is just a shame. I have no explanation how this hotel could receive4 stars. Just because it is a beautiful building from the outside and located in the center? The facilities are definitely not for leisure.

The spa is small, so feels cramped with more than six people in it. It's nice, but I wouldn't say it was "luxury", the shower in the spa has a broken handle, one of the few hooks on the wall is broken, the steam room has a funny smell to it. The hot tub is lovely and there is a small swimming pool which is kept at a cool temperature so you can cool down from the various heated parts of the spa. The massages can be a bit hit and miss too, sometimes you get a real pamper with hot towels and a spritz of scent in the air and sometimes it's a bog standard massage which feels overpriced.

5/ 5

Recently stayed at the Bristol Harbour Hotel & Spa to celebrate our Silver wedding anniversary and we were upgraded to a suite on arrival, which such a lovely gesture and a real treat. The room was absolutely beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel and thought the idea of the complimentary gin was a nice touch too. We had a superb meal in the hotel on the first night, which was delicious as well as the staff being really attentive. We both had a massage in the spa, this was absolute bliss. Great location, fab hotel, spa & restaurant, would definitely recommend and will plan to stay again when next in Bristol. Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable.

2/ 5

Arrived at the hotel and paid remaining balance for our room, we were on the 3rd floor and was then informed that the lift is out of order. The receptionist did offer to help us with our bags but we didn’t think it would be that far...I wouldn’t have minded however my partner had just ran a half marathon in the morning so could’ve done without it. The room was OK, that’s all it was was OK. The complimentary gin and Sherry was a nice touch but no tonic for the gin? The small bottles of tonic in the mini fridge were 200ml and £3/£4!!! The bed was very comfy however TV was randomly placed and not a SMART TV? We were in Bristol to explore so not an issue but how in 2021 does a hotel that expensive not have a smart tv? Cleanliness was OK but the dust on the window shutters was absolutely disgusting, also didn’t get new towels after our first night which was odd. Now onto the spa, we visited after our first night at 10am and it was nice as we both needed to relax. However it is A LOT smaller than advertised and especially when we visited there were 6 other couples in there. I have no clue what the spa staff do all day if I’m honest because they definitely don’t answer phones! I called them 10 maybe 20 times between booking the hotel and arriving (roughly 2 months) and never once spoke to anyone. I emailed 4 times and only once got a response from them, in the end I just asked them to book us in wherever they had space. It is laughable that when we arrived at the spa one of the receptionists was on the phone. Since getting home yesterday I’ve received an email from the spa telling me how to book, I think I’ll send them the link to this review as my response. It’s a shame because this could be a nice hotel but the staff need a shake up, it’s small things that make customers return and decent customer service is probably what let’s this place down.

Would've thought for the price and location the hotel would get a bit more than 3 stars. Great location. Service was very poor. The room had a beautiful design with a large en suite but the bedroom walls and ceiling was cracking and peeling. The cleaning was not great considering COVID 19 - the complimentary drinks and glasses had stains and were filthy. You definitely did not want to drink from that. Spa reception was very young. Polite and lovely but not really customer service focused. Jacuzzi was about 47 degrees and way to hot to really enjoy
