!!!DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I made the mistake to rent a van over the weekend as it was cheaper than the other rental companies, it was the first time I rented with them, Upon checkin I found out the van was filthy with rubbish inside, the tank was only one line above empty, couple of warning lights on the dashboard, number plate lights not working, and a leak inside the van. Inspection of the vehicle was very rushed went through the big visible bits in a hurry and get you to sign the form so if you missed anything be sure they will charge without any discussion. If you do need to hire from here, make sure to go through every little stone chip and mark where they say "we wont bother with that" and get it on the hire form otherwise they will charge you for the existing "damage" when you get back without any discussion. Go elsewhere for piece of mind.

Rang up to enquire about renting a van for a day. To be fair the man on the phone was flexible about the times we could rent it for and initially seemed quite friendly but got quite funny when I said I'd wanted to ring one more company to compare the price. Said 'oh so you don't actually want to rent a van then' in a really stressy way. Pennies are tight at the moment and I just wanted to see if 62.50 was a good deal or not. Don't think it deserved that response.

Rented a VW transporter van yesterday, what a great experience! Phil made the process straighforward and simple, honest and realistic approach. The van was nearly brand new, and so easy to drive. The loading area was protected and covered with plywood, which made moving things in an out safely a real help. My daughter was moving house and 4 full van loads later, we were done. This is a roomy van and I was amazed with the amount we moved ! Returned the van and a quick check over, and that was it! One very happy dad and customer ! Thanks Phil for a great service and a price to match ! No hidden charges, no extras...just no problems! Brilliant!

Absolute life savers! After we were shifted by Thrifty these guys hired us a van at extremely short notice and were just lovely to deal with.

Bristol car and van hire is only small company but they have large range of vehicles to choose from, from small cars up to mini busses and Luton vans. Their prices are very competitive, cheaper than most other hire places in the local area. If you're after a hire car for a holiday or a van to help you move something large then give them a call. The booking process is simple and the owner very accommodating. I've been hiring vehicles from them for a while now and highly recommend.
