I HAVE BEEN WITH THIS SURGERY FOR OVER 40 YRS. WHEN IT WAS IN BRIDGE STREET. I HAVE ALWAYS FOUND EVERYONE FROM RECEPTION STAFF . THE NURSES ESPECIALLY DAWN WHO I MAINLY SEE. TO THE DOCTORS..WHO HAVE ALWAYS BEEN CARING. I have been consistently impressed with this surgery. I find the reception staff to be incredibly warm and friendly and I always feel reassured by them. They are very efficient at arranging what seems to be the best solution (often being seen in the same day when appropriate). Similarly appointments rarely start late and the doctors and nurses always seem to know what they are talking about and are willing to get support when needed.

UNCOMPASSIONATE RECEPTION STAFF Do not come here, you will be treated poorly and very rudely by the front staff both on the phone and in person. No consideration for patients circumstances. In particular the two reception staff that I came across, Rita and Chris both shoved me off putting my medical needs on the back burner. How can these two women who supposedly work in a health industry have such impolite attitudes towards the patients of their clinic. Especially when patients are at their lowest and they come to a medical clinic for refuge from their health problems, these ladies are making us feel even worse than when we came in. Rita is obviously not trained for the position she is in as she just abusively dismisses your concerns and is just unkind and unfriendly. If this is the face of the clinic, then what kind of service do you think you will get here? If you want to be looked after, DO NOT COME HERE!

In my opinion, this practice is excellent. The receptionists are extremely helpful and efficient, the doctors are very approachable and knowledgeable, and the nurses are friendly and kind. Both my young daughter and I have received first-class service from Bridge Street Medical Centre.

My GP (Dr R HJ) always spent time listening to my concerns and listening to what I thought I needed. I felt very valued as a patient and reassured that he had my best interests, eager to get to the route cause of my concern. He even contacted me after our consultant with another thought he had that could help me. Never felt rushed or silly. Always had such a positive experience at this practice. I've lived in 3 cities in the UK and this has been my best GP experience for the last 3 years.

Thank you Bridge Street Medical Centre for what must be a perfect consultation. My new GP had made themselves familar with my medical history and reporrted comprehensively on blood test results that they had organised only a week prior. A relaxed conversation was followed by a physical examination and afterwards my options were fully explained to me and a course of action agreed. The appointment lasted 45 minutes and at no time did I feel rushed.

Rude, condescending, unprofessional reception staff. They do not care about your health related issues. You will not be heard or listened to. Worse still they find it perfectly acceptable to hang up on you without finishing a conversation. They see fit to speak to you as an inferior when you call back seconds later to ask what the actual outcome of the conversation was. Patients are expected to guess what is going on with appointments and prescriptions due to poor communication, you will be hung up on before you’re told when or how to attend assessments. You will be left in the cold stood outside the practice with no information and you will be left without the prescriptions you require (multiple times). If I weren’t a busy shift worker I would find a new practice in a heartbeat.
