Excellent place to visit and learn about the historic planes of the past. Guides with an exceptional depth and breadth of knowledge. Both original and restored planes each with their own story, which the guides will happily and joyfully explain to you. Lovely staff in the reception, the whole museum is very much interactive and perfect for young children, older children and adults. Would definitely recommend.

This is a brilliant place for a plane fanatic. I know this because my friend has visited 11 times and not got bored. When I visited, I could see why! There are planes you can sit in, others only to look at, but the best is the one that has its roof close over you and you can control the moving panels on the wings!

This was just an amazing experience for my two sons, my oldest is especially into aeroplanes and both of them really enjoyed the fact that you could climb into the planes and sit yourself right in the cockpit. It's next to a working airfield, so that added an extra dimension of excitement with aircraft coming and going. There was plenty of seating outside where you could enjoy a picnic and parking was easy.

Bought a 15k feet jump for a 60th birthday present. Had a really fun day. The staff are highly trained, very friendly and helpful. Good on-site cafe, plenty of parking and lots of picnic benches. Well behaved dogs welcome on site. Highly recommended.

Really great way to spend a couple of hours on a wet Sunday morning. Loved being able to climb into the cockpits of so many iconic planes. My 13 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed it, which is high praise!

Excellent aviation museum where you are actively encouraged to touch, clamber and climb in and out of the aircraft and take as many pictures as you like. Knowledgeable friendly staff, very obliging. A good all round aviation museum experience. Great for all ages. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. At Old Sarum...not at Boscombe.

Best museum ever! There's nothing stopping you climbing inside the aircraft, flicking switches, picking up and 'using' equipment from the original plane and they haven't even finished putting together the entire exhibition and it's still awesome!

A must visit on your list of to dos. The staff were friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed a good conversation to & sat in quite a few of the planes on display. I wasn't a fan of aeroplane museums but the staff have made it so interesting that I will include museums of aircraft on my list in my future travels. All the staff are volunteers as well. We are fortunate to meet these amazing people.
