I smelt burning from underneath my stairs, which I suspected was coming from the electrics. I called Mango Contracts, who came out within the hour and from their advice I had a new consumer box installed. I was very happy with them and would definitely recommend. Thanks!

This company states on their website that they offer "No obligation, Free estimates". When you phone to ask for an estimate for a job they say that they charge a minimum of £70 per call out. So, their website is misleading. After the first conversation they called back suggesting they could send someone to look at it. When I said that I would not commit to paying before the electrician came out and that the decision to contract them depended on the quote, they went back to saying that they had a minimum £70 call out. A waste of time. If I hadn't been very clear about requiring a quote before committing, I fear that they might have sent someone and expected payment. Sounds like the people there have different ideas of what they really offer. The call out charge should figure somewhere very clearly on the website to avoid confusion and the "No fee...." statement should be removed.
