I went to compare the price of a Northface cobalt blue beanie hat £25 ! I ordered the very same hat off Amazon for £13:45 today. Blacks is overrated and overpriced
Very bad customer service. We visited your store today returning an online purchase. We were told that the return was at the managers discretion but the manager didn’t want to know. We were first told we could have a credit note but at the time when we couldn’t find anything g we were told this wasn’t possible as we didn’t have the receipt from the packaging. We did have the email receipt but at the managers discretion this was obviously not good enough. The purchase was a gift and had not been worn and still had the labels attached with your very own tag. The proof of purchase was shown to the manager who again chose not to help us find a suitable replacement or offer any form of assistance what so ever. From a large company selling high priced goods i don’t expect this. No wonder the high street is in decline with customer service like this!!!!
Good cheap prices for a variety of products except when you want to purchase something, when none of the tills are manned and staff are instead instructed to stand at the front of the store, a long way away from the tills.
Was delighted that I was able to buy Berghaus boot's, the assistant was lovely!
Foolishly, despite poor experiences previously, I tried ordering items online from Blacks. Despite long wait eventually get email saying items ready for despatch then nothing. Phoned up Customer Services 10 days later to find they have lost order somewhere between Blacks and courier and now none in stock (prob never had in stock anyway). Can't get items from them anymore and not available elsewhere now either. This has happened before where they say items are in stock when clearly they haven't any idea whether they have any or not. Rather pay more to a reputable company and at least get what I paid for.. steer clear!
The two (young, male) assistants treated me like an idiot from the word go. Considering I have been hiking since long before they were born, I was not impressed. When I said I was looking for a pair of leather hiking boots, I was advised that most people go for gortex these days to avoid problems with the leather cracking. When I asked for a size 40, I was given a size 41 as 'you usually go up a size' - I'd naturally already taken that into account. I walked out in the end, and got courteous and respectful service in Cotswold Outdoor just down the road.
Good range of clothing but not outstanding value.
Amazing customer service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend Blacks Deansgate.
Coat split down the seems, all could agree the coat was in good condition and that it absolutely shouldn't have happened split it was a manufacturing problem however refused to give me a refund due to being a couple of days over the return policy in the middle of a global pandemic. I was given the absolute ring around by call centre staff for days following sending me in circles and completely wasting my time. Also had orders canceled for separate black friday items which were still in stock to this day on the website. An absolute un-trustable shambles
