I brought my wife today for a referred appointment, not our normal surgery. We parked in the disabled spaces, next to the ramp, walked up the ramp....the door was locked, good start. We had to go the front of the building, now nowhere near the disabled spaces. We passed a nurse sat in her car while on the phone in what should have been the disabled spaces. She had the car engine running right outside the front door mmmmm has she not heard of polluting car fumes? When we booked in the seats were so low that my wife had to stand and wait, there was no way she could have sat on the very low moulded seats with no arm rests to get back up, ridiculous choice of seating for a surgery. The doctor was very helpful and polite. When we came out the nurse was still sat in her car with the engine still running, does she not watch current affairs programmes about pollution from cars around buildings...........obviously not, a shocking example of non-awareness, especially by a nurse.

The majority of the receptionist are plain rude. It takes ages for them to answer the phone which I’d understand if they were actually busy but multiple times I’ve been sat in the doctors whilst the phone is ringing and they’ve just been sat having a conversation. There has been times where they have said they have no appointments but people I know have rang and been told there’s numerous appointments. As well, the receptionists like to ask what the appointment is for which in my opinion is nothing to do with them. I’ve been back for the same issues multiple times just to sit in a chair, watch the doctor look up my symptoms online and prescribe me medication without even looking at the issue! There’s been times where a doctor has told me I have things and I’ve been for further tests and nothing is wrong. I understand that not everyone ( even doctors ) don’t know everything but I think the whole place is unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend this surgery to anyone!

This is the worst booking Service I have ever come across, people are aware it take ages to get through, then when you do get through no appointments, call back tomorrow, can't book a day in advanced absolutely shocking, next available appointment end of December 6 weeks away I just don't get their system is baffles me. I called to book my mum an appointment at her local surgery in cleckheaton, phone answered within 3 rings, booked appointment straight away. The way this surgery is run is ridiculous, I have also witnessed when completing a prescription form an elderly lady walked in to make an appointment to be seen that day she was in agony holding her arm and they told her to go away and call in to book an appointment horrendous felt so sorry for the old lady. Once you finally see a Doctor or Nurse they are great but the admin / booking system is shocking and needs sorting out ASAP

The doctors are great and really seem to care, the problem is the completely useless person/ people manning the phones in the morning. Their pathetic excuse for a system seems to be some kind of lottery involving redialling none stop for an hour in the hope that someone can be bothered to pick up the phone. Join the rest of the world and get a queuing system for the phone lines.
