Comfortable bedroom with sitting room and two TVs. Bed good. Bathroom and shower a bit old fashioned but all quite adequate. Breakfast buffet good. Staff all young pleasant and quite helpful but unable to identify anyone who might have been a manager. Very small private chargeable hotel carpark and very difficult to get in and out of. Hotel is in the middle of the city so ideally placed. The outside courtyard will be lovely in the summer. The interior of this lovely old hotel is needing refurbishment.

Located in central Salisbury, this is the oldest hotel in the area and definitely feels like it. Rather dated hotel, some simple updates would make this hotel much more pleasant. The staff were pleasant, although i struggled a little to find the front entrance, probably made worse by my late check in. The place is a bit of a Warren and my room was very small and I literally struggled to turn in the bathroom and I am not a big person. The shower cubicle leaked causing a nuisance for when I got out. Carpets definitely more dated than the decor, squeaky floorboards in the corridor definitely do wake you in the night, earplugs are a must.

Wonderful aged Coaching Inn, well worth a visit for lunch a pint of local ale or a coffee. Pleasant outside seating when weather permits. Restaurant recently refurbished . Another gem of real History of Salisbury.

The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Great location and friendly staff. My only gripe was the food in the restaurant was awful. It was nothing like the description. My daughter was given a cranberry, Brie and bacon sandwich with stale bread and no cranberry. My meal was cold and way over priced. A decent hotel but eat elsewhere!

I have stayed here a few times now, for business and pleasure. I have always had a good stay with good food and pleasent staff. The rooms are very clean and tidy, and the staff are quick to react if there is an issue. The hotel is central to the town, with restaurants, bars and shops only a minute or two away. The parking is very limited at the hotel, but there are plenty of car parks and street parking which is free between 1800-0800hrs. The attached pictures are of a superior king room.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. It's a very characterful old building originally a coaching house. Tastefully decorated in keeping with the age of the building. You walk through an arched entrance to the courtyard to reach the reception. The courtyard is where the coaches & horses would've once arrived now it's set up with a few tables & chairs weather permitting a lovely place to sit & enjoy a beverage. It's in an ideal location for walking around Salisbury & visiting the Cathedral if you want to explore further there's Stonehenge, Winchester Cathedral & for Gin lovers Bombay Sapphire Distillery is at Whitchurch.

What a lovely hotel. Its like stepping back in time except fir the amenities. My room was comfortable, clean and roomy with an amazing en-suite. Even with a road facing room, it was quiet. A good breakfast with a lot of choice. They hosted our Christmas lunch and that was amazing too.

Not a four star hotel by any means. We stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. Our room was very dated, I appreciate it is an old building but the room we had (29) really needs a makeover. The only view we had was of rooftop and piles of pigeon mess. The shower was also very difficult to regulate. The noise from the the adjacent night club kept us awake until 2am on both Friday and Saturday. We paid over £500 for the weekend so I was disappointed. Parking is charged at £15 a night so beware. When we checked out, the receptionist not once asked if we had enjoyed our stay. On the upside it is ideally situated but I will think twice when booking a Best Western hotel again.

The location is perfect, within easy walking of the Cathedral and city centre. I loved the fact that the hotel dated back to the 1200's and really enjoyed sitting in the old courtyard. The rooms are pretty basic but adequate although air-conditioning would have been nice. However, I do think the cleaning was not to a very high standard. We tried to get a meal in the hotel at around 9.15pm but were told that was not possible which surprised me. I did get the feeling they were really low staffed. Most of the staff we encountered were lovely - really friendly and helpful but one of the youngsters in the dining area was a bit of a drip. I would definitely return to this hotel as it is very reasonably priced and has a great deal to recommend it. I am sure the problems would be ironed out with more available staff.
