Good hotel, great value for money. Would have been 5 stars except for the view. The staff were all really friendly and helpful they had upgraded us to a suite which was lovely. Loads of room, a sitting area and a beautiful big bathroom. View from room was of neighbouring industrial estate. Breakfast was very good . The food well cooked and plentiful.

We chose the guide post as a wedding venue back in 2015 and have been back every year since! The bedroom was amazing which came with the package (just a shame we had to leave so early for our honeymoon)! We had a choice of rooms to use throughout our wedding day which were changed accordingly and allowed us to hold all family and friends! The staff are amazing and nothing is too much. They are so interactive and actually care about you as a person and as a customer when walking through the door. Over the years the events we have attended are a couple of afternoon teas, mothers day fathers day and also valentine's day! I highly recommend a visit to this venue if not to stop then just for the food and customer service!

Attended the Abba2nite event. It was a really great night. We knew all the songs and we're up dancing most of the time. The staff were lovely and friendly. Will be back.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The hotel also had additional facilities (such as a banquet room), although we did not use these.

I stayed hear for my cousins wedding in October. My room was really comfortable, warm and very clean. The staff were lovely, nothing but helpful and polite. I was travelling a long distance and wanted to book hairdresser for the morning of the wedding. The receptionist looked up nearest ones to hotel and sent me a list of salons. The food was great with a large selection of buffet breakfast including cooked breakfast and variety of pastries, toast, fresh fruit and yoghurts. Dinner was equally good. The wedding room was beautifully decorated as was the function room. We are a large family and had a lot of children in attendance, including toddlers. Food was delicious and staff were very efficient and very helpful. Great venue, fabulous staff, and the bonus of staying up late and only having to go upstairs to bed without having to call a cab. Absolutely can't fault them.

Fairly standard hotel but beware functions often held on Saturdays - if staying a Saturday night make sure you're allocated a room away from party guests - we were kept up till 2 or 3 am by loud partying in the corridor outside. Reception sympathetic but could do little to stop it.
