Viewed a house 17/06 in Alderbury, applied the second we left the viewing. Told we would be emailed details to pay a holding fee, great, still nothing the next day. Advised we might have a problem due to a default payment on credit score 3 years ago. Told we have two guarantors ready and waiting and that we still want to proceed. Then told the landlord was considering us and would have one other viewing. We waited until after the other viewing, advised we could have the house because the other people didn’t apply but still not given details to pay the folding fee. Chased twice daily for over a week. Then told the landlord wanted more viewings before considering us, so we offered an increased monthly rental over £125 of the original asking price because we’d had our hearts set on the place. Told it was taken to the landlord, haven’t heard anything since. Despite being told we were the first to apply and we could pay to get the property off the rental market. Literally nothing. Every day for two weeks we called and just got ‘we will call you when we know’. Nothing from anyone at bassets and property now let. Despite being told we could apply we were never spoken to again. Gutted. Avoid!
