I have read so many negative reviews about this surgery and yet every time I’ve ever needed it, it’s been amazing! To be honest, I don’t use it regularly but when my husband was suddenly ill last year they couldn’t have done more for us and tonight following advice from the pharmacist, I popped up and yet again was treated brilliantly. Thank you.

I agree with all the other comments, not even getting a star from me unless I have to. I had stopped taking my medication for a heart condition as the drugs were causing heart burn and stomach pains, as well as other problems, I had to wait nearly 4 weeks for an appointment. This morning I asked for a vaccination holiday form, it would appear this surgery no longer carries out this service, probably due to budget restrictions, doctors and staff paying themselves to much no doubt. The receptionist told me there was a NHS crisis, really. They also refused me an appointment to ascertain if my vaccinations were in date. I am making a complaint in the first instance to their practice manager, if I have no response I will be taking it up with the local NHS authority. Unfortunately I had to give them one star.

if I could rate nothing at all I would. worse GP surgery Ive ever used! the receptionists are rude and so unhelpful. Advising me to ring out of your doctors (111) when they were still open. The receptionist even told me to contact Derriford to chase up a sample they had lost. absolutely awful and shocking.

What a terrible surgery, never any appointments. Always losing blood and urine samples, never call back, poor quality and uncaring receptionists, run down surgery. This practice needs to be closed for the benefit of its patients. Avoid signing up at this practice at all cost as you will certainly regret it! If you are a patient please make every effort to complain to NHS England .

We have been attending this surgery since it opened - about 35 years, I think. My husband has had three major health issues over the past 18 months and has received excellent care throughout that time. The Receptionists have always been courteous and helpful, especially Penny, who has gone above and beyond. Dr Epps (locum doctor) has been amazing - he is knowledgeable, understanding, efficient and we felt very well supported during a worrying time. The nurses have also provided excellent care and advice and we cannot fault the surgery. Getting an urgent appointment is difficult, but by phoning at 8.30 repeatedly, we have always managed to get one within a couple of days. This isn't ideal but far better than some surgeries where you have to wait for a couple of weeks. We were shocked to hear that the surgery has been temporarily closed after an inspection and felt we should give an account of our positive experience.
