On arrival I was told to sit and wait by the lady on the Service desk because she was busy, no hello or smile more of a harassed look that made me feel like I was adding to her woes! - not a great first impression. The courtesy car (which I had to pay for) smelled of cigarettes and the fuel light came on as I left the forecourt, when I fed this back later no apology was offered. I’d expect better from a relatively prestigious brand. A lovely show room but it’s the people interactions that make all the difference to the customer experience.

Although the service was very good and extremely well communicated, the service indicator now states my next service is due in 3900 miles! Not very helpful as this is around a month for me and makes no sense. I would appreciate a call to understand why?

Excellent service. I had booked my BMW to have a health check done. On arrival, self check-in on a screen and drop your key in the locker. After the service was done, they even valeted my car. Hayley was very helpful in answering my queries about the car (it's my first BMW). I had a wonderful experience.

Requested a battery change and advice on lock actuator ’clicking’’, or rather cycling. Cost for similar battery comparable with non OEM prices, more so, when one considers recoding. Health check was given for no extra charge. Worked in showroom while waited. Excellent job. For this activity, while price is comparable with non-BMW, I can recommend having this done here.

Issues with Windscreen Washers They worked when it went in for the MOT and didn't work the day after when I tried them. Lots of unanswered calls, messages left with the Barons call centre and 3 months have now passed. It's now summer and bug season. I'd really like some working windscreen washers. But parking has got a bit better mostly because covid has reduced the numbers on site. Still can't understand why the parent and child spaces were removed. They really were needed to lug car seats in and out at service time as you can't leave them behind. PARKING NIGHTMARE! There is simply nowhere to park at Barons Cambridge. Every bay is full, every piece of road is full, every piece of side road is full. I've no problem with parking further away and walking but it becomes very difficult if you need to move a car seat. They're very big, very heavy (20kg +) and you need to be able to open your doors to get them out. Made more difficult by needing to manage a small child at the same time (you can't leave them behind whilst you wander off for miles to the loan car). To be fair, when I finally got parked, a member of staff helped me lift the car seat on both arrival and departure (once I'd asked for help). The actual service and MOT was smooth and swift - the mechanics did a great job. Shame they are being let down by the restrictions of the premises. Can we also bring back the cold drinks for those of us that don't drink tea/coffee? It would be nice to have something. Elms were very good at this.
