I never knew this place existed until recently, a definite must if you’re in the area or seeing an exhibition. The conservatory is on the third floor and free, the second largest in London apparently and home to many tropical plants, fish and terrapins! go in if you like a little piece of quiet from London. Bar inside also *nudge* *nudge*

A bit underwhelming. It's a nice little oasis in the centre of London, but the concrete ugliness of the Barbican Centre makes the whole conservatory feel quite worn and tired. Wouldn't recommend, even to plant lovers.

Perfectly contrasting and complementary of its brutalist setting all at the same time. A green haven in the middle of Barbican, the hub of brutalist architecture in London. So satisfying to be among the trees inside the building. It’s like what I imagine aftermath of human extinction to look like (in the best most interesting way possible). Well maintained, so enjoyable- and a turtle pond and coy pond inside too. Opens Sundays and I spotted that there’s an afternoon tea menu inside too which would be interesting to try!

This place is like how I imagine an abandoned overgrown London, reenforced concrete and over grown with plants it’s a fantastic place to have a wonder and a breath. However!! Never go during a hot summers day, as it’s literally a green house you will melt even if just wearing shorts and a T-shirt. The air becomes thick and heavy. Maybe have a little water spray or something that makes the time bare able.

Did not expect to see this great little place hidden away amongst all the grand buildings in the city!! Great place if you like plants of all kinds. Very peaceful. Not busy and fab for taking photos. One way system in place so no going back for another look at something you liked. Would definitely go back again at a different time of year to see other plants in bloom.

A beautiful place to get some peace in the middle of the city! It has this wonderful feeling of plants retaking a post-apocalyptic scenario. It was very quiet when I visited, so there was plenty of time to enjoy it and take in the sights, but I imagine it could get a bit cramped if it’s very busy. Some of the walkways are narrow and if you accidentally come across someone going in the other direction then you either have to backtrack or squeeze past (if there is still a one-way system it wasn’t being enforced when I went). There are a fair few steps to go up and down, which gets you some lovely views, but it might be good to be aware of that if it might cause an issue for you. Overall though, I had a wonderful time, and it’s a great free activity to do!

Tickets are free just need to book it online in advance. Nice place to take some pictures and see plants. Unfortunately the cactus room was closed and the area didn't seem to be looked after very well. It was lots of yellow leaves on the plants and the floor with dry leaves too 🤔

Good value food and friendly staff but absolutely nowhere to sit. It's a huge space so we all ended up sitting on the floor. In my opinion they need to buy some more chairs.
