Don't put your kids in this school! Bullying is rife and nothing is done about it imo. All round not a good school at all including some staff. Parents will form different groups in the playground and gossip about other parents. Staff at desk as well as some others are very judgemental and look down on you as if you're dirty on a shoe. I'm so glad I took my kids out this school, so many kids been taken out this school that I've heard of for apparent bullying. It's not the worst school ever but I'd be more fussy where u put your children.

Not the greatest Primary School. Parents seem to band together in groups to talk about other groups. Teachers try but, with the EXTREMELY obvious lack of funds (that was based on the look of the exterior of the building and a look around the inside of the school) and the all to familiar story of over worked teachers, and class sizes that are just to large. Unfortunately that means that teachers nowadays (especially the now VERY rare few, that DO GENUINELY care about making a difference to young peoples lives) simply do not have the time needed to effectively dedicate themselves to individual children with so many children demanding their attention at the same time. In the end, who is it that REALLY suffers ? The Children obviously. Because of a NATIONWIDE LACK OF FUNDING IN OUR SCHOOLS, OUR CHILDREN are going to be the ones to reap the "Rewards" of a Government that has taken and taken. That same Government will still then expect the same Children that THEY provided with a substandard education from Primary School, through Secondary School through to maybe even College (which thanks to that same Government they will have to pay for the "Privilege" of going to THEMSELVES (Or the good old Bank of Mum & Dad lol)) to make a "Worthwhile" contribution to the Country's coffers. The Children in this Country are being let down time and time again by successive Governments that keep cutting funding and increasing class sizes to ridiculous proportions, and expecting Teachers to churn out "Fine, Upstanding Citizens" what a joke. With teachers swamped with work from 30/30+ Children (per class) how are they supposed to EFFECTIVELY teach our kids, when all they do is paperwork and marking ?. It's just not feasible to ask someone to mark the papers of 30/30+ kids (some of whom may have problems, and some of which may have trouble even writing) some of which they may not even be able to read and to then also ask that person to teach a class and to also maybe keep an eye out for children who may have learning difficulties. You wouldn't ask someone in a Foundry to throw the metal into the furnace, and also watch it come out the other end and be there to catch it as it comes out, it's just not practical, but everyday MILLIONS of teachers are asked to do this with who ? The FUTURE of our Country that's who, and is their Education something you REALLY want to be playing with ? I don't think so. Balgreen School....as I said, It's DEFINITELY not the Greatest Primary School, but.....it's also, DEFINITELY not the worst. Personally though I wouldn't send my kids here. Although the Support for Learning teacher is very good (although she does need quite a lot of chasing up, and I thought she might've made more of an effort to hide the fact that she simply 'Copy and Paste'd a document to me which I thought was honestly....very lazy.
