Avis cambridge

Awful service. They refuse to rent a car when I have passed my driving test and awaiting my card license in the mail, despite of the fact that I was able to produce a DVLA check code and a pass certificate. After cancelling my booking, they also refuse to issue any refund (not even the insurance plus fees) or negotiate another solution (for example, reschedule a new booking in the future or have another friend of mine comes by to drive). They will try to find anything you didn’t (know to) comply in their terms and conditions (a very long pdf file somewhere in their website) and deny your refund request. Do not use their service! Horrible!

I am not sure what happened at the Avis Cambridge on Mill road. I payed for a class C and I got a class B. The car was old and in poor conditions. I have been hiring with Avis basically all the 2019, becoming a Preferred customer, but yesterday, that was simply unacceptable in winter season with a MET office yellow weather alert in place. My rental has been downgraded from the Avis Cambridge office unilaterally, with no explanation, no sorry. I can't make my head around this. Simply awful!

Hassle free experience with Avis Cambridge. Picked the car up early with no issues, on our way within 10-15 mins and returned after a family trip to Cornwall without incident.

Awful service, email confirmation that car would be delivered at 10am.... No car arrived called at 11am they guy said it was not booked for delivery but he could get delivered at 2pm....called back 10mins later said they did not have card details. To be clear I have email confirmation from the company and have paid....this is a business booking for a long term rental...awful service Not Happy at all order cancelled and I will not be using Avis again

Absolutely joke £1217 taken from my account for some damage on the car I didn’t do and still holding my deposit and I have reported to the them to the trading standards, still trying to get my money back. Company bass in Spain.my advice do not use this company.

Very pleasant member of staff I dealt with when picking up and dropping off the hire car. But what stands out most is the fact that they rung a day later to say that I had left my (rather expensive) satnav in the hire car. I’m not suggesting other hire car companies would have kept schtum and kept it, but I’m extremely grateful. Thanks!
