AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Unfortunately I found Autotec to be extremely unprofessional and dishonest. I went to them as my engine light had come on and wanted to check if it was anything serious or urgent. While i was there i mentioned that my grill had fallen off so I asked if they had a moment, could they stick it back on for me. An hour later I got a phone call quoting me almost £200 for the work; which included an hour's labor of £30 to stick the grill back on! I said for them not to worry about doing that job in that case as i could do it myself, which is when they said that they had already done it so i had to pay. I personally didn't think you were allowed to do a job before checking the price with the customer, but I found this especially cheeky as it was a 5 minute job which I would expect a garage to do for free out of etiquette! Next, they listed the other items, which included £30 for the diagnostic check, and £30 for one hours labour (in which they ran the diagnostic check) - in my eyes, this is essentially charging me twice for the same thing?! And again, it is especially cheeky considering running the diagnostic check did not take one hour! On the diagnostic report it said the check was done at 12:40, and I received a call from them to let me know the results at 12:47. Finally, when I went back to the garage to discuss the costs, I found it unprofessional and rude that the workers were discussing the issue in front of me but in a different language. This suggests to me that they didn't want me to know what they were discussing. I think the garage were very dishonest and were just trying to get as much money out of me as possible for a tiny job.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! DO NOT GO HERE! I went to Autotec for my MOT and a service. A short while after dropping my car off I received a phone call to say my car had failed.. this is fair enough. However, the mistake that the garage made was thinking they could fabricate problems that did not exist. On the call they listed all the problems with my car and quoted roughly £800 to fix. Firstly I was told one of my tires was dangerous (i.e. below the legal 1.6mm depth) but I immediately knew this was false (alarm bells started to ring). So I decided I was not going to go ahead with the repairs and it would be worth getting a second opinion. After taking my car to a new garage and a trusted tire garage, I discovered more deception. The parking break was marked to be below legal requirements. Now, my understanding of a service is that this is usually adjusted and seeing as I was paying for the best service they offered I would of expected that this would have been completed first. Other false claims were that the macpherson strut needed changing and that my rear breaks had an imbalance. All major issues that would cost a lot to fix. I am pleased to say after getting a second MOT and asking the tire garage for their opinion, I only need £160 of repairs and all problems listed above were not advised on the MOT. The tire garage also informed me that my tires were all in fact above the 2mm marker across the whole tread pattern, therefore its mad that Autotec tried to make this claim. I am in complete shock that this garage is still in business! After looking deeper into these reviews I have come to realise that it is a common occurrence and unfortunately I am not the first to be given shoddy service. I feel like I have been picked on as I am a young female with little experience with cars. Final point: I have reported the garage to the DVSA and I encourage anyone else who has similar experiences to do so.

Poor customer service, overpriced and they simply don't know what they are doing! AVOID AT ALL COSTS I rarely leave Google reviews but I felt that people should know that Autotec will fleece you out of as much money as possible for very poor work. I've been using them for the past couple of years but after a while I started to suspect that I was being ripped off for minor fixes. I went to a different car mechanic who was blown away at the shoddy workmanship that Autotec have done on my car. His words were "It was clearly done by someone who didn't know what they were doing". For example, the brake discs weren't fitted properly and have caused more damage and cost to my car! So thanks for that. Under the new management they have gone massively downhill - pricing and workmanship-wise. Go elsewhere and avoid these cowboys!

Pi$$ poor communication led to us paying for our MOT twice, not having brought in the paperwork for the re-test however this wasn't pointed out when we dropped the keys in. The man on reception was unhelpful & didn't care at all when we explained this. Not giving them any more of my hard earned...

Took my car for an MOT here as it was convenient. Immediately regretted it - doubtful honesty - felt like the primary aim was to make money. Collected my car and took it to an official dealership garage - did a whole service, new MOT and replacement of parts for substantially less than the quote from here. Would definitely avoid.

Took my car a couple of weeks ago for a diagnostic, as I had warning lights on my dashboard. They charged me £95 alone just to check this and not even fix the car. Seems extortionate… wasn’t happy with the cost of this and took my car elsewhere, to be told by a different car garage that I was definitely overcharged for what they provided.

Do not go here! Billed 40 mins labour to change wiper blades ! They are an extortionate business ; avoid like the plague. My wife didn't want me to post this review for reasons best known to her. But a rip off is a rip off . And it's not ethical. More fool us as we disregarded previous google reviews.
