Amazing customer service! I've never hired a car before and didn't know what to do or how it worked. Claire and the team couldn't do enough to help, from advising us on which car would be best, to how to drop off on a Sunday. Thomas in the delivery dept was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The Autohorn team are just the best, will definitely be back. Thank you!

this place is just here to steal people's money after delivery driver comes signs of vehicles lies and said interior dirty when literally come out of the car wash 10mins before collected still stating dirty. also when you want to swap your vehicle after spending over 8k with them they tell you you can't if you missed a payment date by 2 days and have to stay in the car your in this is fraud and I will be contacting trading standards etc as none of this is stated in contract. this company is a rip off only good a taking money from people and charge you after you have signed the vehicle off to the driver. I'm not liable for any damage caused after driver has collected and I signed off this is against the law to then take more money out my account.

RESPONSE FROM AUTOHORN Following my first negative review I have to say that I received a quick response from the Fleet Manager at Autohorn who dealt with my complaint promptly, and in a professional manner immediately arranging the refund whilst a review of their process is carried out. Whilst my initial experience was very poor I have to give the company credit for quickly dealing with it once it had come to the attention of senior management. No star rating if I could.Just terrible service from this Company. I wanted a short term lease for 2 months. The sales executive was friendly and helpful up until the point she took the order and the money ie first month's lease and setup fee of 210.00 I then got passed to an administrator who was the opposite, uninterested and unhelpful asking for further documentation which was not asked for when I agreed the terms of the lease with the sales executive. They would not let me collect the vehicle on the day agreed without this documentation which it was not possible to provide, and the sales executive knew this at the time of agreement. I wasted a day and a half discussing this issue when the agreement was clear. They were inflexible and ignored the fact that I had a clear agreement in writing from the sales executive on what documentation was required . I had no option but to cancel the lease as they had not kept to their agreement and needed a car on the day agreed for collection. They agreed to refund the cost of the first months lease, but refused to refund the setup fee. I asked to speak to the manager who had approved the agreement I made with the sales executive ,but they refused to give me the name just giving me a generic customer service e mail address. I made a complaint in writing to this address but have received no reply. Clearly just fobbing me off. My advice is to avoid this Company as after they take the order, and the money (without which you cannot get the documentation) they simply do not care and have an arrogant attitude. For a supposedly reputable Company their complaints procedure ( or lack of one) is disgraceful. Witholding a refund when they are clearly at fault is no way for a reputable Company to operate. I wish I had read the reviews on Google and Trustpilot before contacting them as it is clear that my experience is not unusual. I hope this helps others when making a decision on which Company to use for leasing and rental.

An absolute disgrace. Having used the company previously, I thought it would be a go-to place for my holiday car hire but after today’s experience with Georgina who was completely inflexible, unapproachable and lacking in any customer service skills I will be giving this place a wide berth. On booking I was told that the minibus would be ready before 6pm for pick up. I made one wasted journey around 2pm and again on calling just after 4pm it was not going to be ready until 6pm. I then set off again before 6pm and called to say I would be a few minutes late as it was now peak traffic and the back and forth had me delaying all my other jobs I had to do before driving down to Dover with friends - writing this on my driving break- only to be told by Georgina that I would now incur a £60 surcharge for being late for collection! Poor service provided but quick to extort money unjustly from customers- repeat business lost as will not be using this place

I paid £200 for the vehicle to be delivered. They failed to deliver at the agreed day and time, and I had to take a whole day off work to accommodate their error. They then attempted to take £809 out of my bank account without my authorisation AFTER I had told them I was terminating the agreement. When I returned the car after only one month because of their substandard after sales service, they proceeded to keep £300 of my £500 deposit. They broke this down as: £110 for a scratch on one wheel; £92 for admin for three parking fines I had incurred (£32 to open the envelope on my behalf per ticket) £63 EXCESS MILEAGE. I had 15,000 miles per year included. I had the car for 29 days; and did 1733 miles. They worked it out “pro rata” and charged me another £63 on the grounds that IF I’d had the car for a year, I would have exceeded the mileage policy. Awful experience. Scammed me out of £300 in only 29 days. Avoid at all costs.

I tried to use the left luggage service - attendant ran my card - couldn't get the receipt to print out - then disappeared to the office - came back 5 minutes later and wanted to run our card again - we refused, took our luggage(2 carry ons) without using the service and were later billed $19.13 US dollars - total rip off - we took the bus into the Minster and left our luggage with Youbag Left Luggage - 3 pounds/bag - very nice lady - quick - recommend

Initial dealings with the company were great, people I dealt with were friendly and helpful. Super disappointed that it went downhill by the end of it, had an issue when they forwarded me an infringement notice (which they charge a whopping £30 admin notice for each notice they have to forward on) on the last day I had a chance to pay for only 50% of the fine for early payment. Despite them receiving the notice 10 days prior, they took so long to email me the penalty, I had no chance to pay less - and of course got charged another £30 admin for it. Chased up a couple of times to see if I could at least get the admin fee reversed as I was now having to pay the full infringement but......silence.......never got a response. Shame they only seemed to reply when things were fine.
