An astonishing collection, beautifully presented. Simple explanatory language describing geology and period in time. Not much of interest for younger visitors. Mid to Late Primary would be the earliest I would recommend for limited interest. A must see for anyone fascinated by rocks, minerals, gemstones and precious varieties.

A really well presented mineral and fossil museum. I was surprised at the length of time that the exhibits kept the family's attention. If you've got a couple of hours in Bathurst it's worth a visit to this reasonably priced location.

Visited only to show the kids something I thought they'd be interested in while providing a bit of education. I probably would have skipped it otherwise. I'm so glad I didn't. Fascinating and educational.

Really interesting displays. Not too big to be boring and large enough for a good diversity of displays. Almost in centre of town to do other things, but parking time a little limited (one hour), unless you park further away. We found the one hour parking to be adequate for our visit, but could have lingered longer in the museum had we not been concerned about a parking ticket. Highly recommended.

A fantastic display of minerals and fossils. Might be good if there were more videos to watch and some easier descriptions for kids to read- the texts used lots of scientific terms and so were definitely targeted for adults. However it's well worth a visit.
