Such wonderful collections. Whenever we visit Oxford, we try and fit in a visit. I find it best to do " little and often" to get the most from a visit. This time, we spent an hour in the European Art section, they have some wonderful pieces. But, of course, if you have a whole day, there is so much to see and so much variety. Well presented and lots of helpful information on display.

My first visit here and not my last. Was so fascinating would even make a special trip to go again. I live 200 miles away. Beautifully presented exhibits. I went to see a special exhibition about food in the Roman period but ended up wandering around the other galleries. Must leave more time when I go again. Nice little cafe. Decent shop. Try to restaurant on the top floor.

What a fantastic museum. So much to see with every room crammed to the rafters with awesome antiquities and artworks. Plenty of kid friendly tours and treasure hunts. It would take many more visits to see it all, so we're definitely planning on returning.

Amazing place. Highly recommended and it's free but please do donate whatever you can to keep it free for everyone. Lovely decor and they have a huge array of items, including a mummy! Restaurant inside with toilets. It's on several floors but there are lifts available

Great exhibitions here, just visited Last Supper in Pompeii, which was fascinating. The only reason I’m giving 4, not 5, to the museum is that every time I’ve come to a paying exhibition, it’s been over crowded, despite timed tickets. I booked online to save bother, but then still had to queue in the souvenir shop prior, to collect audio guide, in the same queue to buy tickets. So as usual, their systems need sorting. But it’s a great museum all the same.

We travelled up to Oxford specifically for this museum. My Husband has an interest in Japan and it's history and my daughter is currently learning about Egyptians in school. We booked online, entry is free, and added on the family adventure for 4 (as well as donating which I hope everyone does to help such a wonderful museum). The adventure tablets and headphones where superb, I'm so glad we added it on. The games where extremely child friendly, we was able to play games together at certain spots and individually whilst learning about certain pieces. My only slight gripe with this was, there was a section of find the paintings, one of the paintings we was searching for had actually been removed from the room, so we spent 10 minutes wandering before a kind member of the team there helped us. The order of the games was a bit odd, first going up to floor 3, then 2 back to 3 then 2 then 1. It didn't suit us personally, so we just started at the top and worked our way down and then when we got to certain parts included in the adventure we clicked on them. This was we was seeing everything instead of just actively looking at the tablet parts. We was here a good 3 hours and could of spent longer but my youngest was getting tired. We had a pushchair and found the lifts quite small as a family group. The blue lift goes to certain floors then a pink lift for another. Easy to get to grips of and find when you've got your bearings. The shop was fab, bit small with a pushchair and when busy I imagine. My daughter had some books and I had the gin (which was beautiful tasting!). We're looking forward to visiting again.

This is a Wonderful Place, filed with all sorts of fascinating objects, paintings, sculptures and other items. There is a lot to see and one of the things I like is the way you move from gallery to gallery through the building, from the old part to the new, the architecture changing as you transit one area to another. Entry is free and there is a good cafe too. Recommended.

Very interesting museum, I particularly enjoyed the ancient Egyptian exhibition. Was free entry and provided a solid morning of entertainment, although could be easily longer if you wanted. Vast amount of information and different exhibitions, will visit again for a more in depth look. Would highly recommend if visiting Oxford.
