Explored with a 10 yr old and the relatively new playground was sadly a great disappointment. The park area is great as an area for games and relaxing, with great views. The zip wire was alarming as the stop at the end was too close to the wooden A frame, this meant my daughter swung up too high and I felt her head was too close. It scared her a fair bit and she's pretty gung ho about most things. Wasn't impressed with the quality of the equipment to be honest. The little fitness trampoline was badly damaged and repaired with shredded tape and, I would suggest a little small. We tried star jumps on it and it was a struggle staying on it and central. The other parts are good in principle, but it might be helpful to have a board with suggested exercises to try and guidance on how to do them. Eg chin ups on the bars etc. An out door gym is good and I really welcome the idea, but it needs to be thought through from the perspective of who you want to use it. If you have a group with a trainer that's fine, but for individuals who want to give it a try, they need a bit more guidance. Perhaps with the redevelopment if the Memorial Pavillion this could be rethought?
