I had not been to a dentist for the best part of 10 years before I came to see Luke and the team and was, as you might imagine, quite apprehensive. From the moment I walked in the door I have rarely been met with such professionalism, compassion and expertise. Luke and the dental team have absolutely transformed my appearance and with it my confidence. I am genuinely amazed by the results. The level of detail and care that is taken by everyone at the practice is such that, over the course of several treatments, I came to actually look forward to my appointments. The after care I've received has been outstanding in every way; one one occasion Luke came in on his day off in order to ensure I received treatment. Oh and there's parking!

Aquae Sulis Dental, in particular Dr Ian Bellamy, was recommended to me by a specialist oral surgeon at Southmead Hospital, Bristol. A road traffic accident in teenage years resulted in broken jaws and a dental mess that I have endured for many years, having been told by a number of dentists that there was nothing able to be done to repair and resolve the issues faced. Well, how wrong they were, and what a positively huge impact meeting with Ian and his Team has been! I was initially apprehensive to commit to an appointment but once I had met with Ian and his Team and evidenced not only the patient experience but also the technology used at the practice, I felt very keen to pursue the potential of what could be achieved. Since then, Ian has rebuilt previously shattered jaw bone. Made an unhealthy situation healthy. Has been able to implant where I was told it was not possible and has truly impacted positively to a level I am happy to call life changing! My message to anyone apprehensive about what can be achieved at Aquae Sulis Dental, please don’t be. You will be pleased you found them.

I have never written a review for any service I have received or purchase made – ever!! Having been to Aquae Sulis for over 12 months of extremely intensive/extensive treatment I feel compelled to share my experience. I am a mature lady who, over the years has experienced some horrendous and detrimental dental treatment, all of which I endured for the sake of vanity!! I was becoming increasingly concerned about the condition and appearance of my teeth and my dentist, at the time, recommended a full set of implants as the solution. I was horrified. A dear friend recommended Dr Ian Bellamy at Aquae Sulis in Bath. I live in South Devon so had obvious reservations about the time and distance involved. I had a lengthy telephone consultation with Ian and my fears were allayed. I am one appointment away from completion of my treatment. There are only two back teeth that Ian was unable to salvage and replaced with implants. The rest of my teeth and gums are healthy, look absolutely brilliant and I couldn’t be more delighted. Ian and his team are totally professional, experienced, friendly and caring. Having spent years of feeling physically sick prior to a dental appointment I can honestly say (and I do know this sounds a bit mental!!) I actually look forward to the 250 mile round trip to see them all. 5 stars and couldn’t be more highly recommend by me. What price a SMILE?

Luke came to my aid when I urgently needed root canal treatment a few days before my holiday. The treatment was painless , Luke was very caring and gentle, just what you need in a stressed situation. I would certainly recommend him to anyone.

After over 10 years of faffing about and various procedures elsewhere, I scoured the internet for someone I could trust to sort out my dead front tooth - fillings and canal bleaching had failed, and I had started to loose jaw bone around the tooth as my body rejected it being there. I got a couple of quotes, I normally attend an NHS practise so not a big spender on dentistry. In the end I decided to stretch the budget a bit because I'd concluded Ian was the top man. I wasn't wrong. Ian actually cares... I mean, really cares about the quality of his work and getting the right result for the patient. He's done thousands of implants, so has buckets of experience to go with the knowledge - we've had some fascinating conversations (I'm keen on details). The first stages of the treatment were well explained and executed, when we got the crown in we concluded we weren't happy with the colour match. It took a few more goes to get it spot on - unsurprisingly it's quite challenging to get the colour and shape just right for a front tooth, especially with my non-textbook grimace of a smile! Ian did not pressure me into accepting something I was not happy with, he wanted it to be the best it could - in his words "Once it's done I want you to forget it, you shouldn't notice it". That's how the story ends, I haven't noticed it since the day after it was done, and I wasn't charged a penny more for the extra attempts with the crowns. This is the guy you need.

Very impressed. I recently used this dental practise for the first time to get new retainers made as they were the closest practise who offered this service. From the booking process with reception, to arrival, to the appointment itself and follow up everyone was professional and polite and friendly. Thank you Ian and the team, highly recommended

Ian is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel so comfortable in his light and airy loft room. I visit from America just to see him.

I have experienced many dental issues over the years and last year I reluctantly conceded it was time to have my front tooth removed. I had very little bone left as well as a root filling. There was a hole in my gum and besides that there was very little gum left. Ian referred me to Gaston King who grafted a new gum line to perfection. I have been through three sets of temporary bridges and have just been fitted with a permanent porcelain set. Since my treatment started back in November I have had around 15 appointments at Aquae Sulis and have not dreaded any of them! There is a lot to be said for not dreading the dentist I think. You always pay what's quoted and there are no hidden extras. My new teeth look amazing, really natural. I cannot imagine ever changing dentists again. I have tried a few over the years and have never been truly happy with any of them. Good cosmetic dentists are hard to find and often when you find one you don't like them very much! Ian is very likeable and I knew I had made the right choice as soon as I met him. All of the staff are lovely and there's parking. What more could you want!
