I have been with this Gym for years. I can say that whenever I try to make arrangements to suspend my account while I am on vacation or out of town, or when I am in Sydney for a few weeks, the process is pretty smooth and hassle free. After some time now, I feel the need to alter and improve my review and say that my experience with the staff and the gym has gotten a lot better since my average rating in 2021. I feel like the staff really care and are actively supporting me. The place is regularly kept clean, and the community here is helpful, so I always feel welcome despite me being uncomfortable in crowds. I like this Gym because I workout in the evening, and it is a very clean and tidy gym. I just wish the people who use the weights return the plates and the bars where they belong.

My husband has been asked to leave the gym by the manager Matt because he has Tourettes and it makes "people uncomfortable". Just goes to show what kind of people Anytime Fitness hires.

Have been going to ATF Queanbeyan for a couple of months now. Here is my opinion: GOOD: - Smaller gym, but with enough equipment to allow you to do any exercise. - Smaller membership base so it doesn’t get really busy. - Lots of easy free parking. - Value for money - No ‘Gym Shark’ wannabe muscle heads, mostly just regular folk. PEEVES: - Typical Canberra entitled types who are selfish, disrespectful, and have no concept of what gym etiquette means. - RE-RACK YOUR WEIGHTS!!! IF YOU DO REMOVE THE WEIGHTS PUT THEM AWAY DONT JUST LEAVE THEM ON THE FLOOR AS A TRIP HAZARD!!! - USE A TOWEL YOU SWEATY &@$! - WIPE YOUR EQUIPMENT AFTER USE!!! - DONT HOG 2 MAJOR PIECES OF EQUIPMENT FOR 40 MINUTES DURING PEAK HOUR WHILE YOU DO YOUR OWN LITTLE CIRCUIT. ITS NOT YOUR OWN PERSONAL GYM, OTHERS ARE WAITING TO USE THE SMITH MACHINE OR LEG PRESS THAT YOU ARE ONLY USING ONCE EVERY 15 MINUTES!!!! - DONT STAND RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DUMBELL RACK PREVENTING ANYONE FROM GRABBING WEIGHTS!! - DONT HOG THE SAME SIZE DUMBELLS FOR 30 MINUTES, THERE’S ONLY ONE SET OF EACH WEIGHT! - DONT DROP YOUR WEIGHTS UNLESS YOUR LIFTING THE ENTIRE STACK! There is no need for it, indicates your lifting too heavy, and dropping 12kg Dumbells on the floor just proves you’re being a $&@! All of the above are gym rules and these selfish members need to be educated and reminded of how to conduct themselves, that’s managements job, not mine. I’ve been a member of a lot of gyms in my time and this truely is the worst for bad gym etiquette. It makes what would be a good community gym into just a frustrating place to go. I’m sick of re-racking other peoples weights and adjusting my workouts because after 40 minutes I still can’t get on a Machine because you’re hogging it. If you do become a member here please play by the rules for all our sakes. If you’re already a member either do the right thing or have the guts to tell others to do the right thing.
