We got a quote to purchase windows from Anglian. The sales experience is awful old school high pressure and frankly in this age of consumer awareness it is counterproductive. We then went to the showroow which was real boiler selling. The quote started ridiculously high and after a lot of grinding on our side went down to a quarter of what they originally offered with lot's of 'I have given special discounts to you', 'this has to be done today', 'we have to hit out sales targets for this month' (even though it was the start of the month when we went) etc. They insisted the price was final, 'absolutely no way it can go lower'. After a lot of pressure we walked away and said we would return next week (of course they tried to insist we had to give them answer the next day which we steadfastly refused to do). The next week (Before we ere due to see Anglian) we saw a different local firm which quoted 15% less than Anglian's 'final quote' off the bat. When we cancelled that afternoons Anglian appointment of course they suddenly had news that there had been a big job in the area and they could in fact knock 15% off (despite their earlier insistence that the other quote was an absolutely low) Basically they will lie and lie and lie and lie to you. Frankly it simply isn't the way to do business in the modern world. AVOID.

Most UNSCRUPULOUS company ever! Worst ever service. They send a smiling smooth talking sales person to sign you up. Beware! The sales person will make a contract with you, but it is Anglian's policy not to write details of what you talk about and require in that contract. You of course still have a legally binding contract, even if it is not all witnessed in writing. You should not deal with this company unless you know the pitfalls and your rights - for example, you should record and/or have independent witnesses to your oral conversations which form the oral contract, as Anglian will cynically avoid writing your requirements, but will gleefully write down how much money they want from you. Better still, avoid this cowboy practice, and use a good local company that does not take short cuts with your sanity and precious work ;) Do not be rushed to sign any paper devoid of details, which is what Anglian will give you - this is the worst company practice, and their managers are extremely defensive and arrogant if anything is not done to your specifications later. Avoid at ALL COST!
