Ambiente Tapas Goodramgate york

Ambiente is hands down one of the top restaurants in York - the food is delicious they pack so much flavour into every dish and have such an excellent and varied selection of meat, fish and vegetarian options. The lightly battered goats cheese and blue cheese mushrooms are my favourites! Truly excellent!

Arrived a bit early but were seated promptly. Ordered a selection of hot and cold tapas, all of which were great. Particular shout out to the marrakesh chicken and the millionaire brownie. Could be better if they did cocktails as we didn't see any on the menu but all in all, really good meal.

Arrived for food but sadly unable to cater for us. However, we did stay for drinks and opted for the sherry introduction flight. The staff provided some great information and was knowledgable about the all the drinks. Will certainly go back on our next visit to York and hope to try the food.

The food was really tasty. Friendly service too. Larger portions than other tapas restaurants I've been to. Really popular and was completly full so you need to book.

The Ambiente chain does mainly small cooked tapas, served hot - and it does them well. Good quality ingredients go into inventive little dishes at a very fair price. The selection of sherries in Ambiente is the real draw for me, they've a great range of top notch sherry - perfect with your tapas. The friendly knowledgeable staff can advise you

Just saw this place looking around the town, fortunate to get in at short notice. You know you've chosen well when the place is booked up on a Monday and more and more people keep coming in to find it's full! Opted for a sharing board to start with, which was very nice. But the star was the beautiful seafood paella, which was very tasty and a generous portion for two to share. Would definitely recommend and would go again if we were in York for longer.

We had a wonderful meal here. The food was excellent (3 tapas per person is more than enough) and the service was warm and welcoming. The restaurant is dog friendly in the bar area (I recommend booking ahead) and staff were very accommodating for our dog. She had a bowl of water and was spoiled with some extra treats too.

Fantastic meal and excellent service. Our server was helpful and available without being overly so. The food was amazing and definitely the best Tapas we have ever had.
