Mostly ok but a diabolical amount of packaging in the flatpacks. Cardboard, polystyrene foam, polystyrene blanket, you name it is in there. All that foam un-recyclable. The company needs an environmental makeover.

Upon entering Amart Glendale you immediately felt relaxed & amazed at the fantastic array of stock and was approached by a very professional but extremely friendly but non pushy sales lady by the name of IZZy who looked after us without the hint of a push or pressure to gladly serve us, it's a pity more shops don't attend to the shoppers requests as well as they do a AMART Glendale .

I don’t often post bad reviews because I can’t be bothered & I tend to feel guilty & just let it go. But I honestly don’t understand how this company is still open for business. The customer service is abysmal. I ordered an item of furniture online, at the time it stated 5 of the item were in stock. I noticed the shipping time said 1-2 business days from the Brisbane warehouse. Given that we are in the midst of a pandemic & I am aware delays in shipping or posting may occur. But 4-5 business days later, I had a feeling that something else was happening, so I got in contact with the company to find out if my order had been received correctly. While I understand stock discrepancies occur following years of retail experience myself, i contacted the team on two seperate occasions a few days post purchase - the first person couldn’t help at all. The second told me that it simply “hadn’t been shipped due to delays” and someone would be in contact to update me when possible. I then received an email a week following purchase, stating that the item was actually out of stock & they couldn’t send one. I was told they would like to issue a refund, however the item would be back in stock mid September for me to purchase again. I’ve since seen staff comment on their Instagram that this item was in fact discontinued and isn’t likely to be restocked. At no point did anyone apologise for the mix up/issues. All I got was “Unfortunately your order can’t be fulfilled”. Normally I would understand. But the fact that I had contacted twice and had been told otherwise was extremely frustrating. When a customer has to highlight an issue that much & you still can’t notice something is wrong/chase it up properly, that’s below average. It seems staff are either poorly educated on how to deal with stock issues/customers, or they just blatantly lie to avoid any confrontation/actually dealing with situations like this professionally & properly. I would rather spend $700 more on one item, from one of the other 50+ furniture stores, than ever give my money to this company again. Because if it was this hard to deal with a company at the point of sale, can you imagine if you had to deal with any warranty issues??? You seriously need to improve on how you treat your paying customers. It’s really not that hard…..
