Absolutely the worst company, frames didnt fit brick work and couldn't even be bothered to seal around frame with gaps so wind can whistle through. Not interested after they steal your money!

The company put double glazing in my house and it has been a disaster! The bathroom window is loose, there is not enough filler and sealant around the windows so water does get into the brickwork causing wet patches on the wall, but worst; the bay window was wrongly constructed and build so it cracked in half. My house was built in the 1930s and I never had a problem. Now the wall above the bay window is collapsing. I have taken this up with Fensa and it turned out that they registered the job under their old company name. I now have to take this up with Trading Standards. I am having such a nightmare. Alwoodley have not been helpful and Mr Khan has been really rude. They have not honoured the guarantee I was given and I may have to take them to court. Do not use this company if you want trouble free double glazing and a friendly helpful customer service! PS: I have also just found out that they go into liquidation every couple of years and starting their company under a new Alwoodley windows logo again. Their have just renamed themselves as Alwoodley Windows Green Deal! Their guarantee is worthless! I do not understand how they are allowed to work like this. Do not use this company if you want to avoid trouble and stress and keep your house in a good state!

Made the mistake of NOT reading reviews before commissioning them to install windows and a couple of doors. We have NEVER had a poorer experience from any one ever! One of the glass panels in a patio door arrived in the wrong size TWICE!! It's been more than two weeks since the second wrong panel and we are still waiting for the correct sized panel to be installed in our patio door. (so one of the doors has had not any glass in for nearly 3 weeks now) On top of that one of the windows is also the wrong size (yet it was installed anyhow). If we hadn't discovered that, we would have been left with not only a drafty but 'leaky' double glazing. However now that we have discovered it, we are still waiting, in spite of our innumerable requests, for it to be changed but to no avail. By innumerable I mean countless calls to alwoodley windows on a daily basis, visiting their office and then workshop over the weekend and waiting for two hours to be 'heard' by the person who could actually do something about it (i.e. the owner?) STILL NOTHING!! Not only that, during all this extremely stressful time, we've also had several false promises that the windows will be fitted on this day - that day. I have taken time off work on those days to make sure that work is done properly this time but no one shows up! We have lost the builders who were going to finish the work on the building as they have started work elsewhere. The customer service is absolutely appalling. Half the time the phone call gets diverted to someone who has 'nothing to do with windows (she deals with solar panels for this company apparently) and can't help at all' anyway!! My advice: STEER CLEAR, I'd not even go near the dodgy solar panels. Next step is to contact FENSA and see if they can help!

Cowboy company. They take your cash and fob you off when it comes to repairing faults on double glazing less than 9 months old. Six weeks of being promised a repair and constantly let down at the last minute by theirfitter,Andy. Yes he even used the rugby excuse on me!! Wish i'd done research on this awful company before i gave them my custom. Terrible attitude, rude, arrogant. customer service non existent. STEER WELL CLEAR.

The actual window fitting was not really and issue, though they were quite messy. However they forgot a windowsill, and broke my inner back door. Numerous phone calls, and promises that this would be rectified resulted in my windowsill being fitted 6 weeks after the initial job. I was promised by Andy, the window fitter, that he would repair my door as he was in the local area coaching his son in a rugby team on the Wednesday. This didn't happen, nor did it get done at all. He didn't reply to my messages after this. Leaving someone living alone with an unlockable door is disgusting, and the customer service of this company leaves a lot to be desired. I am disappointed as I have given them business myself on two occasions, and with two friends. My advice would be not to pay anything unless the job is completely finished - otherwise they really don't care.

Installation was OK apart from a wrongly designed window being installed and had to be taken out. Afterwards we noticed a draft coming in from our bay window and cracks appearing in the sealing of the frames. It took 8 attempts to get someone to agree to come round and fix it they were due to arrive on a Saturday morning so we waited in all day no one came no one called to apologise. Finally after complaining to the owner they turned up fixed the issues but now we still have a draft and now also have 2 windows that stick and also a gap has appeared at the top of the bay spoke to AW and was told there remedial team were very busy (I wonder why ?) and I would get called back in the middle of the week to arrange a visit - No call back - rang again and arranged a 9.00am visit on a Saturday told them they would need to be here on time as we were out for the rest of the day - Did they turn up, Did they call to say they werent turning up, have they got another disatisfied customer - OH YES
