What a dog box, arrived to insects and bugs in the bathroom sink and all over the plates and cutlery

What a dog box, arrived to insects and bugs in the bathroom sink and all over the plates and cutlery that are just on top of microwave not covered. Dirty floor that I asked him to vacuum prior to putting our bags in the room. nowhere to sit only on the beds, no room for suitcases. Dirty stained coffee cups (lucky we had our own) stayed for 4 nights because Tamworth was booked out due to State Bowls Championships and couldn’t find another Motel. Over the 4 days didn’t receive any clean towels, milk, coffee etc. grounds of Motel very dirty and the management doesn’t seem to care.

5/ 5

Stayed overnight in a twins room on my way to another destination. Arrived around 10pm, got the key from a safe box, as per a text message I had received earlier. So my interaction with staff was only virtual, but lovely. Can’t say anything about brekkie as I didn’t try to get one. And not sure if it was advertised on my booking. Great value for money.

I am little late in writing this review but if there was an option to give less than 1 star I would have given it. We can call these people scammers, frauds and what not. So it was over our Christmas break road trip from Sydney to Coffs Harbour and back when we booked these people for one night of 31st December 2021 via booking.com. The drama started when we arrived at this place at 8:30Pm after getting confirmation from them that we can check in till 10Pm as we were running late. The lady on the reception said that we don’t have any booking on our name, that was a shocker for us, we showed her booking confirmation from booking.com and confirmation text message for our late arrival etc, but she kept refusing and started getting rude to us and kept on blaming booking.com for booking their unavailable room which we know is next to impossible. But anyway, now we were in the middle of no where with our 2 year old. Clearly, these guys wanted to rip us off by any means. So, we decided to book another place on the spot as we didn’t have enough energy to argue with them anymore after long hours on the road. Luckily, we found a room in ibis just few hundreds meters from where we were stuck, he was professional and turned out to be our saviour that night, 5 stars to ibis. As soon as we booked with ibis and the lady on the reception get to know about it suddenly a room became available and booking came to their system from booking.com and she said she won’t be able to refund our booking fees if we go somewhere else, like seriously. Again, luckily we were through booking.com hence contacted them about our situation, they apologised and refunded full fee, again 5 stars to booking.com also. Finally, we had somewhere to stay for the night after that long tussle, never experienced such an awkward situation before.
