With work recently done on this gem of a park, I can't say enough good things about it. There is a lovely coffee place, a wonderful lake housing beautiful wildlife and signs which give all kinds of information about the wildflife (and also how best to look after them - which includes what you should and shouldn't feed them). There are even regular activities in the park. It's a joy to leave just a few minutes away. I hope there are more green spaces like this in urban areas, and well looked after like this in the future.

Great park for a stroll, or a jog, beautiful restored Victorian section towards the back of the park, nice pond to feed the ducks and a cafe to grab a coffee or tea, although a bit pricey, Two toddler play parks, cricket pitch and basket ball court as well as tennis courts, it has some nice smooth new paths great for rollerblading. Would recommend

Lovely park with many places to sit and have a picnic. There's a cafe here with books for both children and adults, it has seating inside and out and are where the parks toilets are located. Also has a pond, 2 play areas and tennis courts. It's a nice park for a bike ride.

Did 4 laps in this Historic Park in South Manchester in 1 hour, jogging and walking with my spouse. Felt exhilarated and energised. A wonderful place for a peaceful stroll solo or with friends/family. Has a small lake with lots of swans, cafe, children's play area including Football and Cricket lawns.

this park is such a tranquil open space with lots of different types of walkways and pathways and nooks, crannies, there's even tennis courts and a pond. The planting feels modern and contemporary it's quite a surprising green space, literally on the outskirts of the city centre located between the busiest thoroughway into Manchester City centre: princess parkway and Alexander Park Road although the traffic seems miles away under some of the tallest trees around. It does feel much safer than it used to maybe 10 or more yrs ago (although still not lit up enough to be safe after dark)

Amazing park, a wonderful place to chill on a hot day. Haven't explored it fully yet but the overall impression is class. The only downside - single toilet in the vicinity is the one in the cafe, but it closes pretty early (same working hours as the cafe) and while my male mates have an easy solution I'm left to scramble for some other ways to deal.

It feels pleasant to walk in the shade of trees around the ponds looking at beautiful ducks quacking and floating on the water. I wish we have more parks like this in all our neighbourhoods. Such a pleasure to see and praise the nature we have gifted. It was a blissful visit at Alexander Park.

Lovely large park. Two areas with play equipment although I wouldn't say this was the main appeal of the park. Large duck pond and several paths to wander. A nice bit of nature amongst an urban backdrop. A cafe too although I didn't visit it.
